High-Precision Mass Measurements of Neutron Deficient Silver Isotopes Probe the Robustness of the <math display="inline"><mrow><mi>N</mi><mo>=</mo><mn>50</mn></mrow></math> Shell Closure / Ge, Zhuang (Jyvaskyla U.) ; Reponen, Mikael (Jyvaskyla U.) ; Eronen, Tommi (Jyvaskyla U.) ; Hu, Baishan (TRIUMF ; ORNL, Oak Ridge (main) ; Oak Ridge) ; Kortelainen, Markus (Jyvaskyla U.) ; Kankainen, Anu (Jyvaskyla U.) ; Moore, Iain (Jyvaskyla U.) ; Nesterenko, Dmitrii (Jyvaskyla U.) ; Yuan, Cenxi (SYSU, Guangzhou) ; Beliuskina, Olga (Jyvaskyla U.) et al.
High-precision mass measurements of exotic $^{95-97}$Ag isotopes close to the $N = Z$ line have been conducted with the JYFLTRAP double Penning trap mass spectrometer, with the silver ions produced using the recently commissioned inductively-heated hot cavity catcher laser ion source at the Ion Guide Isotope Separator On-Line facility. The atomic mass of $^{95}$Ag was directly determined for the first time. [...]

Opportunities for Fundamental Physics Research with Radioactive Molecules / Arrowsmith-Kron, Gordon (Michigan State U.) ; Athanasakis-Kaklamanakis, Michail (CERN ; Leuven U.) ; Au, Mia (CERN ; Mainz U.) ; Ballof, Jochen (CERN ; Michigan State U.) ; Berger, Robert (Philipps U. Marburg) ; Borschevsky, Anastasia (U. Groningen, VSI) ; Breier, Alexander A. (Kassel U.) ; Buchinger, Fritz (McGill U.) ; Budker, Dmitry (Darmstadt, GSI ; UC, Berkeley) ; Caldwell, Luke (JILA, Boulder ; U. Colorado, Boulder ; Colorado U.) et al.
Molecules containing short-lived, radioactive nuclei are uniquely positioned to enable a wide range of scientific discoveries in the areas of fundamental symmetries, astrophysics, nuclear structure, and chemistry. Recent advances in the ability to create, cool, and control complex molecules down to the quantum level, along with recent and upcoming advances in radioactive species production at several facilities around the world, create a compelling opportunity to coordinate and combine these efforts to bring precision measurement and control to molecules containing extreme nuclei. Nuclear mass measurements of isotopes are key to improving our understanding of nuclear structure across the chart of nuclides, in particular for the determination of the appearance or disappearance of nuclear shell closures. We present high-precision mass measurements of neutron-rich Ca, Ti and V isotopes performed at the TITAN and LEBIT facilities. [...]

MATS and LaSpec: High-precision experiments using ion traps and lasers at FAIR / Rodriguez, D (Granada U.) ; Kowalska, M (Heidelberg, Max Planck Inst.) ; Scheidenberger, C (Darmstadt, GSI ; Giessen U.) ; Kreim, S (Heidelberg, Max Planck Inst.) ; Gomez-Hornillos, M B (Barcelona, Polytechnic U.) ; Aysto, J (Jyvaskyla U.) ; Dickel, T (Giessen U.) ; Geppert, C (Mainz U.) ; Novikov, Y N (St. Petersburg, INP ; St. Petersburg State U.) ; Tain, J L (Valencia U., IFIC) et al.
Nuclear ground state properties including mass, charge radii, spins and moments can be determined by applying atomic physics techniques such as Penning-trap based mass spectrometry and laser spectroscopy. The MATS and LaSpec setups at the low-energy beamline at FAIR will allow us to extend the knowledge of these properties further into the region far from stability. [...]
