Decoherence in neutrino propagation through matter, and bounds from IceCube/DeepCore
/ Coloma, Pilar (Fermilab) ; Lopez-Pavon, Jacobo (CERN) ; Martinez-Soler, Ivan (Madrid, IFT) ; Nunokawa, Hiroshi (Rio de Janeiro, Pont. U. Catol.)
We revisit neutrino oscillations in matter considering the open quantum system framework which allows to introduce possible decoherence effects generated by New Physics in a phenomenological manner. We assume that the decoherence parameters $\gamma_{ij}$ may depend on the neutrino energy, as $\gamma_{ij}=\gamma_{ij}^{0}(E/\text{GeV})^n$ $(n = 0,\pm1,\pm2) $. [...]

Non-Unitarity, sterile neutrinos, and Non-Standard neutrino Interactions
/ Blennow, Mattias (Royal Inst. Tech., Stockholm) ; Coloma, Pilar (Fermilab) ; Fernandez-Martinez, Enrique (Madrid, Autonoma U. ; Madrid, IFT) ; Hernandez-Garcia, Josu (Madrid, Autonoma U. ; Madrid, IFT) ; Lopez-Pavon, Jacobo (INFN, Genoa ; CERN)
The simplest Standard Model extension to explain neutrino masses involves the addition of right-handed neutrinos. At some level, this extension will impact neutrino oscillation searches. [...]

Physics reach of CERN-based SuperBeam neutrino oscillation experiments
/ Coloma, Pilar (Virginia Tech.) ; Fernandez-Martinez, Enrique (CERN) ; Labarga, Luis (Madrid, Autonoma U.)
We compare the physics potential of two representative options for a SuperBeam in Europe, studying the achievable precision at 1\sigma with which the CP violation phase (\delta) could be measured, as well as the mass hierarchy and CP violation discovery potentials. The first setup corresponds to a high energy beam aiming from CERN to a 100 kt liquid argon detector placed at the Pyh\"asalmi mine (2300 km), one of the LAGUNA candidate sites. [...]

Precision on leptonic mixing parameters at future neutrino oscillation experiments
/ Coloma, Pilar (Virginia Tech.) ; Donini, Andrea (Madrid, IFT ; Valencia U., IFIC ; Valencia U.) ; Fernandez-Martinez, Enrique (CERN) ; Hernandez, Pilar (Valencia U., IFIC ; Valencia U.)
We perform a comparison of the different future neutrino oscillation experiments based on the achievable precision in the determination of the fundamental parameters theta_{13} and the CP phase, delta, assuming that theta_{13} is in the range indicated by the recent Daya Bay measurement. We study the non-trivial dependence of the error on delta on its true value. [...]

Long baseline Super-Beam experiments in Europe within LAGUNA
/ Coloma, Pilar (Madrid, Autonoma U.) ; Li, Tracey (Valencia U., IFIC) ; Pascoli, Silvia (Durham U., IPPP)
We explore the physics reach of several possible configurations for a Super-Beam experiment in Europe, focusing on the possibilities of discovering $\theta_{13}$, CP violation in the leptonic sector and the ordering of neutrino mass eigenstates. We consider the three different detector technologies: Water \v{C}erenkov, Liquid Argon and Liquid Scintillator, and seven possible sites in Europe which would be able to host such a detector underground.
