Penetrating particle ANalyzer (PAN) / Wu, X. (Geneva U.) ; Ambrosi, G. (INFN, Perugia) ; Azzarello, P. (Geneva U.) ; Bergmann, B. (Prague, Tech. U.) ; Bertucci, B. (INFN, Perugia ; Perugia U.) ; Cadoux, F. (Geneva U.) ; Campbell, M. (CERN) ; Duranti, M. (INFN, Perugia) ; Ionica, M. (INFN, Perugia) ; Kole, M. (Geneva U.) et al.
PAN is a scientific instrument suitable for deep space and interplanetary missions. It can precisely measure and monitor the flux, composition, and direction of highly penetrating particles ($> \sim$100 MeV/nucleon) in deep space, over at least one full solar cycle (~11 years). [...]

Silicon detector for a Compton Camera in Nuclear Medical Imaging / Meier, D ; Czermak, A ; Jalocha, P ; Sowicki, B ; Kowal, M ; Dulinski, W ; Maehlum, G ; Nygård, E ; Yoshioka, K ; Fuster, J A et al.
Electronically collimated gamma ca\-me\-ras based on Com\-pton scattering in silicon pad sensors may improve imaging in nuclear medicine and bio-medical research. The work described here concentrates on the silicon pad detector developed for a prototype Compton camera. [...]

Investigation of the splitting of quark and gluon jets / DELPHI Collaboration
The splitting processes in identified quark and gluon jets are investigated using longitudinal and transverse observables. The jets are selected from symmetric three-jet events measured in Z decays L with the {\sc Delphi} detector in 1991-1994. [...]

A study of the hadronic resonance structure in the decay $\tau \to 3\pi\nu_{\tau}$ / DELPHI Collaboration
The hadronic structure of the decay of the $\tau$ lepton to three charged particles, $\tau\rightarrow 3\pi\nu_\tau$, is studied using data collected by the DELPHI detector at LEP between 1992 and 1995. The invariant mass of the $3\pi$ system, $m_{3\pi}$, is fitted using the models of Kühn and Santamaria, Isgur Morningstar and Reader, and Feindt. [...]

The DELPHI Silicon Tracker, an ensemble of microstrips, ministrips and pixels, was completed in 1997 and has accumulated over $70~{\rm pb^{-1}}$ of high energy data. The Tracker is optimised for the LEP2 physics programme. [...]

Charged-particle multiplicity in $e^+ e^- \rightarrow q \overline{q}$ events at 161 and 172 GeV and from the decay of the W boson / DELPHI Collaboration
The data collected by DELPHI in 1996 have been used to measure the average charged particle multiplicities and dispersions in $q\bar{q}$ events at centre-of-mass energies of $\sqrt{s}=161$~GeV and $\sqrt{s}=172$~GeV, and the average charge multiplicity in WW events at $\sqrt{s}=172$~GeV. The multiplicities in $q\bar{q}$ events are consistent with the evolution predicted by QCD. [...]
