Performance of algorithms that reconstruct missing transverse momentum in $\sqrt{s}$= 8 TeV proton--proton collisions in the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
The reconstruction and calibration algorithms used to calculate missing transverse momentum ($E_{\rm T}^{\rm miss}$) with the ATLAS detector exploit energy deposits in the calorimeter and tracks reconstructed in the inner detector as well as the muon spectrometer. Various strategies are used to suppress effects arising from additional proton--proton interactions, called pileup, concurrent with the hard-scatter processes. [...]

We present a software framework for statistical data analysis, called HistFitter, that has extensively been used in the ATLAS Collaboration to analyze data of proton-proton collisions produced by the Large Hadron Collider at CERN. Most notably, HistFitter has become a de-facto standard in searches for supersymmetric particles since 2012, with some usage for Exotic and Higgs boson physics. [...]

The performance of the jet trigger for the ATLAS detector during 2011 data taking / ATLAS Collaboration
The performance of the jet trigger for the ATLAS detector at the LHC during the 2011 data taking period is described. During 2011 the LHC provided proton–proton collisions with a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV and heavy ion collisions with a 2.76 TeV per nucleon–nucleon collision energy. [...]

Search for gluinos in events with an isolated lepton, jets and missing transverse momentum at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
The results of a search for gluinos in final states with an isolated electron or muon, multiple jets and large missing transverse momentum using proton--proton collision data at a centre-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV are presented. The dataset used was recorded in 2015 by the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider and corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 3.2 $fb^{-1}$. [...]

Measurement of the inclusive isolated prompt photon cross section in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 8$ TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
A measurement of the cross section for the inclusive production of isolated prompt photons in proton--proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s} = 8 \mathrm{TeV}$ is presented. The measurement covers the pseudorapidity ranges $|\eta^{\gamma}| < 1.37$ and $1.56 \leq |\eta^{\gamma}| < 2.37$ in the transverse energy range $25 < E_{\mathrm{T}}^{\gamma} < 1500 \mathrm{GeV}$. Measurements of the charge asymmetry in top-quark pair production in the dilepton final state at $\sqrt{s}=8$ TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
Measurements of the top--antitop quark pair production charge asymmetry in the dilepton channel are presented using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $20.3$ fb$^{-1}$ from $pp$ collisions at a center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s} = 8$ TeV collected with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN. Inclusive and differential measurements as a function of the invariant mass, transverse momentum, and longitudinal boost of the $t\bar{t}$ system are performed both in the full phase space and in a fiducial phase space closely matching the detector acceptance. Measurements of $Z\gamma$ and $Z\gamma\gamma$ production in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=$ 8 TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
The production of $Z$ bosons with one or two isolated high-energy photons is studied using $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 8 TeV. The analyses use a data sample with an integrated luminosity of 20.3 fb$^{-1}$ collected by the ATLAS detector during the 2012 LHC data taking. [...]

Measurement of fiducial differential cross sections of gluon-fusion production of Higgs bosons decaying to $WW^{\ast}{\rightarrow\,}e\nu\mu\nu$ with the ATLAS detector at $\sqrt{s}=8$ TeV / ATLAS Collaboration
This paper describes a measurement of fiducial and differential cross sections of gluon-fusion Higgs boson production in the $H{\rightarrow\,}WW^{\ast}{\rightarrow\,}e\nu\mu\nu$ channel, using 20.3 fb$^{-1}$ of proton--proton collision data. The data were produced at a centre-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s} = 8$ TeV at the CERN Large Hadron Collider and recorded by the ATLAS detector in 2012.  Cross sections are measured from the observed $H{\rightarrow\,}WW^{\ast}{\rightarrow\,}e\nu\mu\nu$ signal yield in categories distinguished by the number of associated jets. Topological cell clustering in the ATLAS calorimeters and its performance in LHC Run 1 / ATLAS Collaboration
The reconstruction of the signal from hadrons and jets emerging from the proton-proton collisions at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and entering the ATLAS calorimeters is based on a three-dimensional topological clustering of individual calorimeter cell signals. The cluster formation follows cell signal-significance patterns generated by electromagnetic and hadronic showers. [...]
