The CLAS12 Geant4 simulation / Ungaro, M (Jefferson Lab) ; Angelini, G (George Washington U.) ; Battaglieri, M (INFN, Genoa) ; Burkert, V D (Jefferson Lab) ; Carman, D S (Jefferson Lab) ; Chatagnon, P (Orsay, IAS) ; Contalbrigo, M (INFM, Ferrara) ; Defurne, M (IRFU, Saclay) ; De Vita, R (INFN, Genoa) ; Duran, B (Temple U.) et al.
The Geant4 Monte-Carlo (GEMC) package is used to simulate the passage of particles through the various CLAS12 detectors. The geometry is implemented through a database of Geant4 volumes created either through the GEMC native API, by the CLAS12 geometry service, or imported from the CAD engineering model. [...]

TCT and test beam results of irradiated magnetic Czochralski silicon (MCz-Si) detectors / Luukka, P (Helsinki Inst. of Phys.) ; Härkönen, J (Helsinki Inst. of Phys.) ; Mäenpää, T (Helsinki Inst. of Phys.) ; Betchart, B (Rochester U.) ; Czellar, S (Helsinki Inst. of Phys.) ; Demina, R (Rochester U.) ; Furgeri, A (Karlsruhe U., EKP) ; Gotra, Y (Rochester U.) ; Frey, M (Karlsruhe U., EKP) ; Hartmann, F (Karlsruhe U., EKP) et al.
Pad and strip detectors processed on high resistivity n-type magnetic Czochralski silicon (MCz-Si) were irradiated to several different fluences with protons. The pad detectors were characterized with the transient current technique (TCT) and the full-size strip detectors with a reference beam telescope and a 225GeV muon beam. [...]

A New Boson with a Mass of 125 GeV Observed with the CMS Experiment at the Large Hadron Collider / CMS Collaboration
The Higgs boson was postulated nearly five decades ago within the framework of the standard model of particle physics and has been the subject of numerous searches at accelerators around the world. Its discovery would verify the existence of a complex scalar field thought to give mass to three of the carriers of the electroweak force—the W+, W–, and Z0 bosons—as well as to the fundamental quarks and leptons. Observation of a new boson at a mass of 125 GeV with the CMS experiment at the LHC / CMS Collaboration
Results are presented from searches for the standard model Higgs boson in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$=7 and 8 TeV in the CMS experiment at the LHC, using data samples corresponding to integrated luminosities of up to 5.1 inverse femtobarns at 7 TeV and 5.3 inverse femtobarns at 8 TeV. The search is performed in five decay modes: $\gamma\gamma$, ZZ, WW, $\tau^+ \tau^-$, and $b\bar{b}$. [...]

Measurement of the underlying event activity in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 0.9 and 7 TeV with the novel jet-area/median approach / CMS Collaboration
The first measurement of the charged component of the underlying event using the novel "jet-area/median" approach is presented for proton-proton collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 0.9 and 7 TeV. The data were recorded in 2010 with the CMS experiment at the LHC. [...]

Performance of CMS muon reconstruction in pp collision events at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV / CMS Collaboration
The performance of muon reconstruction, identification, and triggering in CMS has been studied using 40 inverse picobarns of data collected in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV at the LHC in 2010. A few benchmark sets of selection criteria covering a wide range of physics analysis needs have been examined. [...]

Search for new physics in events with opposite-sign leptons, jets, and missing transverse energy in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV / CMS Collaboration
A search is presented for physics beyond the standard model (BSM) in final states with a pair of opposite-sign isolated leptons accompanied by jets and missing transverse energy. The search uses LHC data recorded at a center-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV with the CMS detector, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of approximately 5 inverse femtobarns. [...]

Search for narrow resonances in dilepton mass spectra in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV / CMS Collaboration
A search for narrow, high-mass resonances decaying to electron or muon pairs has been performed using pp collision data collected at $\sqrt{s}$=7 TeV by the CMS experiment in 2011. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of approximately 5 inverse femtobarns. [...]
