Generation of pseudo-nondiffracting symmetrical Layer beams using cylindrical lenses / Dušek, Martin (CERN ; Liberec Tech. U.) ; Figura, Sebastian (CERN ; Cracow Tech. U.) ; Gayde, Jean-Christophe (CERN) ; Šulc, Miroslav (Liberec Tech. U. ; Prague, Inst. Plasma Phys.)
The pseudo-nondiffracting behavior of optical caustic beams makes them potentially useful in precise component alignment at CERN. This paper introduces an innovative method for generating one and two-dimensional symmetrical Airy-like beams, known as Layer beams, utilizing a specific configuration of plano-convex cylindrical lenses. Low Divergence Structured Beam In View Of Precise Long-Range Alignment / Sulc, Miroslav (Liberec Tech. U. ; Prague, Inst. Plasma Phys.) ; Gayde, Jean-Christophe (CERN)
A new method of generation of a Structured Laser Beam (SLB) with non-diverging central core was proposed and is promising for creating long distance multipoint alignment systems. This beam is generated by a set-up consisting of two convex lenses in Kepler telescope arrangement. [...]

Long-distance structured laser beams created by optical aberrations / Sulc, Miroslav (Liberec Tech. U. ; Prague, Inst. Plasma Phys.) ; Gayde, Jean-Christophe (CERN) ; Polak, Krystof (Liberec Tech. U. ; CERN)
A novel approach to creating long-range Structured Laser Beams (SLB) using optical aberrations is described. By combining optical elements that produce significant spherical and defocus aberrations, it is possible to generate an interference field with both transverse and longitudinal local polarization. [...]

3D Polarisation of a Structured Laser Beam and Prospects for its Application to Charged Particle Acceleration / Polak, K (CERN ; Liberec Tech. U.) ; Gayde, J C (CERN) ; Sulc, M (Liberec Tech. U. ; Prague, Inst. Plasma Phys.)
A Structured Laser Beam (SLB) is a type of optical beam with spatially inhomogeneous 3D polarisation structures. Generating SLBs from vector beams allows the creation of Hollow Structured Laser Beams (HSLB) with a dark central core. [...]

This paper explores the potential of optical-based systems, specifically pseudo-non-diffractive beams, as an alternative for alignment. The study focuses on structured laser beams and hollow structured laser beams, which exhibit lower divergence and enhanced detection capabilities. [...]

Wavefront reconstruction of a non-diffracting structured laser beam / Dusek, Martin (CERN ; Liberec Tech. U.) ; Gayde, Jean-Christophe (CERN) ; Sulc, Miroslav (Prague, Inst. Plasma Phys. ; Liberec Tech. U.)
The Structured Laser Beam (SLB) is a pseudo-non-diffracting laser beam that shares many characteristics with a Bessel beam. However, it can theoretically propagate over an unlimited distance while maintaining an extremely low inner core divergence of only 0.01 mrad. [...]

Plasma Phys.)
The Structured Laser Beam (SLB) is a type of optical beam characterized by an intense, sharply defined, low divergence core at its center, similar in its transverse intensity distribution to a Bessel beam. The SLB can propagate over a theoretically infinite distance, and has recently been tested up to a distance of 900 m. [...]

Recent advances and perspectives of the high precision laser metrology / Batusov, V (Dubna, JINR) ; Budagov, J (Dubna, JINR) ; Glagolev, V (Dubna, JINR) ; Lyablin, M (Dubna, JINR) ; Shirkov, G (Dubna, JINR) ; Gayde, J Ch (CERN) ; Di Girolamo, B (CERN) ; Mainaud Durand, H (CERN) ; Mergelkuhl, D (CERN) ; Nessi, M (CERN) et al.
The laser-based metrology presents new means and opens possibilities in solving tasks where achievement of a high precision survey is of the principal signiˇcance necessity. The extended laser ˇducial line (coordinate axis) is necessary for precision alignment of basic structure units of large-scale accelerators, for precision assembly of subdetectors when mounting large spectrometric complexes, for online control of space stability of particle detectors during the data taking period. The high sensitivity laser inclinometers open the new possibilities for ground motion control and for accelerator (collider) beam space stabilization essential for achievement of stable high intensity (luminosity) at the interaction area. The investigation has been performed at the Dzhelepov Laboratory of Nuclear Problems, JINR..
