Minimal sterile neutrino dark matter / Bringmann, Torsten (Oslo U. ; CERN) ; Depta, Paul Frederik (Heidelberg, Max Planck Inst.) ; Hufnagel, Marco (Brussels U.) ; Kersten, Jörn (Korea Inst. Advanced Study, Seoul ; Bergen U.) ; Ruderman, Joshua T. (New York U.) ; Schmidt-Hoberg, Kai (DESY)
We propose a novel mechanism to generate sterile neutrinos $\nu_s$ in the early Universe, by converting ordinary neutrinos $\nu_\alpha$ in scattering processes $\nu_s\nu_\alpha\to\nu_s\nu_s$. After initial production by oscillations, this leads to an exponential growth in the $\nu_s$ abundance. [...]

We report on the status of efforts to improve the reinterpretation of searches and measurements at the LHC in terms of models for new physics, in the context of the LHC Reinterpretation Forum. We detail current experimental offerings in direct searches for new particles, measurements, technical implementations and Open Data, and provide a set of recommendations for further improving the presentation of LHC results in order to better enable reinterpretation in the future. On the MSSM Higgsino mass and fine tuning / Ross, Graham G. (Oxford U., Theor. Phys.) ; Schmidt-Hoberg, Kai (DESY) ; Staub, Florian (CERN)
It is often argued that low fine tuning in the MSSM necessarily requires a rather light Higgsino. In this note we show that this need not be the case when a more complete set of soft SUSY breaking mass terms are included. [...]

With their high beam energy and intensity, existing and near-future proton beam dumps provide an excellent opportunity to search for new very weakly coupled particles in the MeV to GeV mass range. One particularly interesting example is a so-called axion-like particle (ALP), i.e. [...]

A facility to Search for Hidden Particles at the CERN SPS: the SHiP physics case / SHiP Collaboration
This paper describes the physics case for a new fixed target facility at CERN SPS. The SHiP (Search for Hidden Particles) experiment is intended to hunt for new physics in the largely unexplored domain of very weakly interacting particles with masses below the Fermi scale, inaccessible to the LHC experiments, and to study tau neutrino physics. Constraining Dark Sectors with Monojets and Dijets / Chala, Mikael (DESY) ; Kahlhoefer, Felix (DESY) ; McCullough, Matthew (CERN) ; Nardini, Germano (DESY) ; Schmidt-Hoberg, Kai (DESY)
We consider dark sector particles (DSPs) that obtain sizeable interactions with Standard Model fermions from a new mediator. While these particles can avoid observation in direct detection experiments, they are strongly constrained by LHC measurements. [...]

Dilaton domination in the MSSM and its singlet extensions / Louis, Jan (Hamburg U. ; Hamburg U., Dept. Math. ; Minerva Ctr. Nonliner Phys.) ; Schmidt-Hoberg, Kai (CERN) ; Zarate, Lucila (Hamburg U.)
We analyse the current status of the dilaton domination scenario in the MSSM and its singlet extensions taking into account the measured value of the Higgs mass, the relic abundance of dark matter and constraints from SUSY searches at the LHC. We find that in the case of the MSSM the requirement of a dark matter relic abundance in accord with observation severely restricts the allowed parameter space, implying an upper bound on the superpartner masses which makes it fully testable at LHC-14. A precision study of the fine tuning in the DiracNMSSM / Kaminska, Anna (DESY) ; Ross, Graham G. (Oxford U., Theor. Phys.) ; Schmidt-Hoberg, Kai (CERN) ; Staub, Florian (Bonn U.)
Recently the DiracNMSSM has been proposed as a possible solution to reduce the fine tuning in supersymmetry. We determine the degree of fine tuning needed in the DiracNMSSM with and without non-universal gaugino masses and compare it with the fine tuning in the GNMSSM. [...]
