The nature of dark matter and properties of neutrinos are among the most pressing issues in contemporary particle physics. The dual-phase xenon time-projection chamber is the leading technology to cover the available parameter space for Weakly Interacting Massive Particles (WIMPs), while featuring extensive sensitivity to many alternative dark matter candidates. Roadmap toward the 10 ps time-of-flight PET challenge / Lecoq, Paul (CERN) ; Morel, Christian (Marseille, CPPM) ; Prior, John O (Lausanne U.) ; Visvikis, Dimitris (LATIM, Brest) ; Gundacker, Stefan (CERN ; Milan U.) ; Auffray, Etiennette (CERN) ; Križan, Peter (Ljubljana U.) ; Turtos, Rosana Martinez (CERN ; Aarhus U.) ; Thers, Dominique (SUBATECH, Nantes) ; Charbon, Edoardo (Neuchatel U.) et al.
Since the seventies, positron emission tomography (PET) has become an invaluable medical molecular imaging modality with an unprecedented sensitivity at the picomolar level, especially for cancer diagnosis and the monitoring of its response to therapy. More recently, its combination with x-ray computed tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance (MR) has added high precision anatomic information in fused PET/CT and PET/MR images, thus compensating for the modest intrinsic spatial resolution of PET. First Axion Results from the XENON100 Experiment / XENON100 Collaboration
We present the first results of searches for axions and axion-like-particles with the XENON100 experiment. The axion-electron coupling constant, gAe, has been tested by exploiting the axio-electric effect in liquid xenon. [...]

The COMPASS Experiment at CERN / COMPASS Collaboration
The COMPASS experiment makes use of the CERN SPS high-intensitymuon and hadron beams for the investigation of the nucleon spin structure and the spectroscopy of hadrons. One or more outgoing particles are detected in coincidence with the incoming muon or hadron. [...]

Spin asymmetry A1d and the spin-dependent structure function g1d of the deuteron at low values of x and Q2 / COMPASS Collaboration
We present a precise measurement of the deuteron longitudinal spin asymmetry A_1^d and of the deuteron spin-dependent structure function g_1^d at Q^2 < 1 GeV^2 and 4*10^-5 < x < 2.5*10^-2 based on the data collected by the COMPASS experiment at CERN during the years 2002 and 2003. The statistical precision is tenfold better than that of the previous measurement in this region. [...]

Gluon polarization in the nucleon from quasi-real photoproduction of high-pT hadron pairs / COMPASS Collaboration
We present a determination of the gluon polarization Delta G/G in the nucleon, based on the helicity asymmetry of quasi-real photoproduction events, Q^2<1(GeV/c)^2, with a pair of large transverse-momentum hadrons in the final state. The data were obtained by the COMPASS experiment at CERN using a 160 GeV polarized muon beam scattered on a polarized 6-LiD target. [...]

The 40x40cm2 gaseous microstrip detector Micromegas for the high-luminosity COMPASS experiment at CERN / Bernet, C ; Abbon, P ; Ball, J ; Bedfer, Y ; Delagnes, E ; Giganon, Arnaud ; Kunne, Fabienne ; Le Goff, J M ; Magnon, A ; Marchand, C et al.
The measurements in the COMPASS experiment at CERN require high- resolution tracking detectors, with low radiation length and high- rate capability. For this purpose we have developed and optimized a gaseous microstrip detector 'Micromegas'. [...]

First Measurement of the Transverse Spin Asymmetries of the Deuteron in Semi-Inclusive Deep Inelastic Scattering / COMPASS Collaboration
First measurements of the Collins and Sivers asymmetries of charged hadrons produced in deep-inelastic scattering of muons on a transversely polarized 6-LiD target are presented. The data were taken in 2002 with the COMPASS spectrometer using the muon beam of the CERN SPS at 160 GeV/c. [...]
