AbstractA chemistry module has been implemented in Geant4‐DNA since Geant4 version 10.1 to simulate the radiolysis of water after irradiation. It has been used in a number of applications, including the calculation of G‐values and early DNA damage, allowing the comparison with experimental data. [...]

Report on G4‐Med, a Geant4 benchmarking system for medical physics applications developed by the Geant4 Medical Simulation Benchmarking Group / Arce, P (Madrid, CIEMAT) ; Bolst, D (Wollongong U.) ; Cutajar, D (Wollongong U.) ; Guatelli, S (Wollongong U.) ; Le, A (Wollongong U.) ; Rosenfeld, A B (Wollongong U.) ; Sakata, D (Wollongong U.) ; Bordage, M‐C (CRCT, Toulouse) ; Brown, J M C (KIN, Delft) ; Cirrone, P (INFN, LNS) et al.
Geant4 is a Monte Carlo code extensively used in medical physics for a wide range of applications, such as dosimetry, micro‐ and nano‐ dosimetry, imaging, radiation protection and nuclear medicine. Geant4 is continuously evolving, so it is crucial to have a system that benchmarks this Monte Carlo code for medical physics against reference data and to perform regression testing. [...]

The Geant4 electromagnetic (EM) physics sub-packages are a component of LHC experiment simulations. During long shutdown 2 for LHC, these packages are under intensive development and we report progress of EM physics in Geant4 versions 10.5 and 10.6, which includes faster computation, more accurate EM models, and extensions to the validation suite. Advances in modelling gold nanoparticle radiosensitization using new Geant4-DNA physics models / Engels, Elette (Wollongong U.) ; Bakr, Samer (Wollongong U.) ; Bolst, David (Wollongong U.) ; Sakata, Dousatsu (Wollongong U.) ; Li, Nan (Wollongong U.) ; Lazarakis, Peter (Wollongong U.) ; McMahon, Stephen J (Queen's U., Belfast) ; Ivanchenko, Vladimir (Tomsk State U. ; CERN) ; Rosenfeld, Anatoly B (Wollongong U.) ; Incerti, Sébastien (CENBG, Gradignan ; CENBG, Gradignan ; Bordeaux U.) et al.
Gold nanoparticles have demonstrated significant radiosensitization of cancer treatment with x-ray radiotherapy. To understand the mechanisms at the basis of nanoparticle radiosensitization, Monte Carlo simulations are used to investigate the dose enhancement, given a certain nanoparticle concentration and distribution in the biological medium. The ALICE Transition Radiation Detector: construction, operation, and performance / ALICE Collaboration
The Transition Radiation Detector (TRD) was designed and built to enhance the capabilities of the ALICE detector at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). While aimed at providing electron identification and triggering, the TRD also contributes significantly to the track reconstruction and calibration in the central barrel of ALICE. [...]

J/$\psi$ production and nuclear effects in p-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$=5.02 TeV / ALICE Collaboration
Inclusive J/$\psi$ production has been studied with the ALICE detector in p-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV at the CERN LHC, in the rapidity domains 2.03 < y$_{cms}$ < 3.53 and −4.46 < y$_{cms}$ < −2.96, down to zero transverse momentum. The J/$\psi$ measurement is performed in the Muon Spectrometer through the $\mu^+\mu^−$ decay mode. [...]

Multiplicity Dependence of Pion, Kaon, Proton and Lambda Production in p-Pb Collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV / ALICE Collaboration
In this Letter, comprehensive results on $\pi^{\pm}, K^{\pm}, K^0_S$, $p(\bar{p})$ and $\Lambda (\bar{\Lambda})$ production at mid-rapidity (0 < $y_{CMS}$ < 0.5) in p-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV, measured by the ALICE detector at the LHC, are reported. The transverse momentum distributions exhibit a hardening as a function of event multiplicity, which is stronger for heavier particles. [...]

K$^0_S$ and $\Lambda$ production in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 2.76 TeV / ALICE Collaboration
The ALICE measurement of K$^0_S$ and $\Lambda$ production at mid-rapidity in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 2.76 TeV is presented. The transverse momentum ($p_T$) spectra are shown for several collision centrality intervals and in the $p_T$ range from 0.4 GeV/c (0.6 GeV/c for $\Lambda$) to 12 GeV/c. [...]

Multiplicity dependence of two-particle azimuthal correlations in pp collisions at the LHC / ALICE Collaboration
We present the measurements of particle pair yields per trigger particle obtained from di-hadron azimuthal correlations in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$=0.9, 2.76, and 7 TeV recorded with the ALICE detector. The yields are studied as a function of the charged particle multiplicity. [...]
