Measurement of single-diffractive dijet production in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} =$ 8 TeV with the CMS and TOTEM experiments / CMS and TOTEM Collaborations
Measurements are presented of the single-diffractive dijet cross section and the diffractive cross section as a function of the proton fractional momentum loss $\xi$ and the four-momentum transfer squared $t$. Both processes ${\mathrm{p}}{\mathrm{p}} \to {\mathrm{p}}\mathrm{X}$ and ${\mathrm{p}}{\mathrm{p}} \to \mathrm{X}{\mathrm{p}}$, ie with the proton scattering to either side of the interaction point, are measured, where $\mathrm{X}$ includes at least two jets; the results of the two processes are averaged [...]

A scalable online monitoring system based on Elasticsearch for distributed data acquisition in CMS / Andre, Jean-Marc (Fermilab) ; Behrens, Ulf (DESY) ; Branson, James (UC, San Diego) ; Brummer, Philipp (CERN ; KIT, Karlsruhe) ; Chaze, Olivier (CERN) ; Cittolin, Sergio (UC, San Diego) ; da Silva Gomes, Diego (CERN) ; Darlea, Georgiana-Lavinia (MIT) ; Deldicque, Christian (CERN) ; Demiragli, Zeynep (MIT) et al.
The part of the CMS Data Acquisition (DAQ) system responsible for data readout and event building is a complex network of interdependent distributed applications. To ensure successful data taking, these programs have to be constantly monitored in order to facilitate the timeliness of necessary corrections in case of any deviation from specified behaviour. Measurements of triple-differential cross sections for inclusive isolated-photon+jet events in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} = $ 8 TeV / CMS Collaboration
Measurements are presented of the triple-differential cross section for inclusive isolated-photon+jet events in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} = $ 8 TeV as a function of photon transverse momentum (${p_{\mathrm{T}}^{\gamma}}$), photon pseudorapidity (${\eta^{\gamma}}$), and jet pseudorapidity (${\eta^{\text{jet}}}$). The data correspond to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb$^{-1}$ that probe a broad range of the available phase space, for $ | {\eta^{\gamma}} | < $ 1.44 and 1.57 $ < | {\eta^{\gamma}} | < $ 2.50, $ | {\eta^{\text{jet}}} | < $ 2.5, 40 $ < {p_{\mathrm{T}}^{\gamma}} < $ 1000 GeV, and jet transverse momentum, $p_{\mathrm{T}}^{\text{jet}}$, $ > $ 25 GeV. Multiparticle correlation studies in pPb collisions at ${\sqrt {\smash [b]{s_{_{\mathrm {NN}}}}}} = $ = 8.16 TeV / CMS Collaboration
The second- and third-order azimuthal anisotropy Fourier harmonics of charged particles produced in pPb collisions, at ${\sqrt {\smash [b]{s_{_{\mathrm {NN}}}}}} = $ 8.16 TeV, are studied over a wide range of event multiplicities. Multiparticle correlations are used to isolate global properties stemming from the collision overlap geometry. [...]

Search for a low-mass $\tau^{-}\tau^{+}$ resonance in association with a bottom quark in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = $ 13 TeV / CMS Collaboration
A general search is presented for a low-mass $\tau^{-}\tau^{+}$ resonance produced in association with a bottom quark. The search is based on proton-proton collision data at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb$^{-1}$ . Search for the pair production of light top squarks in the $\mathrm{e}^{\pm}\mu^{\mp}$ final state in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = $ 13 TeV / CMS Collaboration
A search for the production of a pair of top squarks at the LHC is presented. This search targets a region of parameter space where the kinematics of top squark pair production and top quark pair production are very similar, because of the mass difference between the top squark and the neutralino being close to the top quark mass.
