Measurement of the background in the CMS muon detector in ${p}{p}$-collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ $\,\text {Te}\hspace{-.08em}\text {V}$ / CMS Muon Collaboration
The CMS detector, including its muon system, has been operating at the CERN LHC in increasingly challenging conditions for about 15 years. The muon detector was designed to provide excellent triggering and track reconstruction for muons produced in proton–proton collisons at an instantaneous luminosity ($\mathcal {L}$) of $1 \times 10^{34}$ cm$^{-2}$s$^{-1}$. Searching for heavy leptophilic Z′: from lepton colliders to gravitational waves / Dasgupta, Arnab (Pittsburgh U.) ; Dev, P S Bhupal (McDonnell Ctr. Space Sci.) ; Han, Tao (Pittsburgh U.) ; Padhan, Rojalin (Pittsburgh U. ; Bhubaneswar, Inst. Phys. ; HBNI, Mumbai) ; Wang, Si (Pittsburgh U.) ; Xie, Keping (Pittsburgh U. ; Michigan State U.)
We study the phenomenology of leptophilic $Z'$ gauge bosons at the future high-energy $e^+e^-$ and $\mu^+\mu^-$ colliders, as well as at the gravitational wave observatories. The leptophilic $Z'$ model, although well-motivated, remains largely unconstrained from current low-energy and collider searches for $Z'$ masses above ${\cal O}(100~{\rm GeV})$, thus providing a unique opportunity for future lepton colliders. First measurement of the forward rapidity gap distribution in pPb collisions at $ \sqrt{\smash[b]{s_{_{\mathrm{NN}}}}} = $ 8.16 TeV / CMS Collaboration
For the first time at LHC energies, the forward rapidity gap spectra from proton-lead collisions for both proton and lead dissociation processes are presented. The analysis is performed over 10.4 units of pseudorapidity at a center-of-mass energy per nucleon pair of $ \sqrt{\smash[b]{s_{_{\mathrm{NN}}}}} = $ 8.16 TeV, almost 300 times higher than in previous measurements of diffractive production in proton-nucleus collisions. Tests of General Relativity with GWTC-3 / LIGO Scientific Collaboration
The ever-increasing number of detections of gravitational waves (GWs) from compact binaries by the Advanced LIGO and Advanced Virgo detectors allows us to perform ever-more sensitive tests of general relativity (GR) in the dynamical and strong-field regime of gravity. [...]

Search for Subsolar-Mass Binaries in the First Half of Advanced LIGO’s and Advanced Virgo’s Third Observing Run / LIGO Scientific Collaboration
We report on a search for compact binary coalescences where at least one binary component has a mass between 0.2 $M_\odot$ and 1.0 $M_\odot$ in Advanced LIGO and Advanced Virgo data collected between 1 April 2019 1500 UTC and 1 October 2019 1500 UTC. We extend previous analyses in two main ways: we include data from the Virgo detector and we allow for more unequal mass systems, with mass ratio $q \geq 0.1$. [...]

First joint observation by the underground gravitational-wave detector KAGRA with GEO 600 / KAGRA Collaboration
We report the results of the first joint observation of the KAGRA detector with GEO600. KAGRA is a cryogenic and underground gravitational-wave detector consisting of a laser interferometer with three-kilometer arms, and located in Kamioka, Gifu, Japan. [...]

Search for long-lived particles decaying to a pair of muons in proton-proton collisions at $ \sqrt{s} $ = 13 TeV / CMS Collaboration
An inclusive search for long-lived exotic particles decaying to a pair of muons is presented. The search uses data collected by the CMS experiment at the CERN LHC in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = $ 13 TeV in 2016 and 2018 and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 97.6 fb$^{-1}$. Search for CP violating top quark couplings in pp collisions at $ \sqrt{s} $ = 13 TeV / CMS Collaboration
Results are presented from a search for CP violation in top quark pair production, using proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. The data used for this analysis consist of final states with two charged leptons collected by the CMS experiment, and correspond to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb$^{-1}$. [...]

Measurement of differential cross sections for the production of a Z boson in association with jets in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV / CMS Collaboration
A measurement is presented of the production of Z bosons that decay into two electrons or muons in association with jets, in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. The data were recorded by the CMS Collaboration at the LHC with an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb$^{-1}$. [...]
