TORCH is a novel time-of-flight detector that has been developed to provide charged-particle identification between 2 and 10 GeV/c momentum. TORCH combines arrival times from multiple Cherenkov photons produced within a 10 mm-thick quartz radiator plate, to achieve a 15 ps time-of-flight resolution per incident particle. [...]

A precise measurement of the B0 meson oscillation frequency / LHCb collaboration
The oscillation frequency, Δmd, of B0 mesons is measured using semileptonic decays with a D or D meson in the final state, in a data sample of pp collisions collected by the LHCb detector corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0fb1. A combination of the two decay modes gives Δmd=(505.0±2.1±1.0)ns1, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. [...]

Measurement of the B0sD()+sD()s branching fractions / LHCb collaboration
The branching fraction of the decay B0sD()+sD()s is measured using pp collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0fb1, collected using the LHCb detector at a centre-of-mass energy of 7TeV. It is found to be B(B0s D()+sD()s)=(3.05±0.10±0.20±0.34)%, where the uncertainties are statistical, systematic, and due to the normalisation channel, respectively. [...]

First observation of D0ˉD0 oscillations in D0K+ππ+π decays and measurement of the associated coherence parameters / LHCb Collaboration
Charm meson oscillations are observed in a time-dependent analysis of the ratio of D0K+ππ+π to D0Kπ+ππ+ decay rates, using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0fb1 recorded by the LHCb experiment. The measurements presented are sensitive to the phase-space averaged ratio of doubly Cabibbo-suppressed to Cabibbo-favoured amplitudes rK3πD and the product of the coherence factor RK3πD and a charm mixing parameter yK3π.
