The ESO’s Extremely Large Telescope Working Groups / Padovani, Paolo (European Southern Observ. ; Rome Observ.) ; Cirasuolo, Michele (European Southern Observ. ; Rome Observ.) ; van der Burg, Remco (European Southern Observ. ; Rome Observ.) ; Cantalloube, Faustine (Marseille, Lab. Astrophys.) ; George, Elizabeth (European Southern Observ. ; Rome Observ.) ; Kasper, Markus (European Southern Observ. ; Rome Observ.) ; Leschinski, Kieran (U. Vienna (main)) ; Martins, Carlos (Porto U.) ; Milli, Julien (IPAG) ; Möhler, Sabine (European Southern Observ. ; Rome Observ.) et al.
Since 2005 ESO has been working with its community and industry to develop an extremely large optical/infrared telescope. ESO’s Extremely Large Telescope, or ELT for short, is a revolutionary ground-based telescope that will have a 39-metre main mirror and will be the largest visible and infrared light telescope in the world. Status of ESS linac upgrade studies for ESSnuSB / Gålnander, Björn (ESS, Lund) ; Collins, Max (Lund U. (main)) ; Eshraqi, Mohammad (ESS, Lund) ; Farricker, Aaron (CERN) ; Martins, Carlos (ESS, Lund) ; Miyamoto, Ryoichi (ESS, Lund)
The European Spallation Source (ESS), currently under construction in Lund, Sweden, is the world's most powerful neutron spallation source, with an average power of 5 MW at 2.0 GeV. In the ESS neutrino Super Beam Project (ESSnuSB) it is proposed to utilise this powerful accelerator as a proton driver for a neutrino beam that will be sent to a large underground Cherenkov detector in Garpenberg, mid-Sweden. We forecast the scientific capabilities to improve our understanding of cosmic inflation of CORE, a proposed CMB space satellite submitted in response to the ESA fifth call for a medium-size mission opportunity. The CORE satellite will map the CMB anisotropies in temperature and polarization in 19 frequency channels spanning the range 60-600 GHz. [...]

The Polarized Radiation Imaging and Spectroscopy Mission / PRISM Collaboration
PRISM (Polarized Radiation Imaging and Spectroscopy Mission) was proposed to ESA in May 2013 as a large-class mission for investigating within the framework of the ESA Cosmic Vision program a set of important scientific questions that require high resolution, high sensitivity, full-sky observations of the sky emission at wavelengths ranging from millimeter-wave to the far-infrared. PRISM's main objective is to explore the distant universe, probing cosmic history from very early times until now as well as the structures, distribution of matter, and velocity flows throughout our Hubble volume [...]
