NLL${'}$ resummation of jet mass / Balsiger, Marcel (U. Bern, AEC) ; Becher, Thomas (U. Bern, AEC) ; Shao, Ding Yu (CERN)
Starting from a factorization theorem in effective field theory, we present resummed results for two non-global observables: the invariant-mass distribution of jets and the energy distribution outside jets. Our results include the full next-to-leading-order corrections to the hard, jet and soft functions and are implemented in a parton-shower framework which generates the renormalization-group running in the effective theory. [...]

Non-global logarithms in jet and isolation cone cross sections / Balsiger, Marcel (U. Bern, AEC) ; Becher, Thomas (U. Bern, AEC) ; Shao, Ding Yu (CERN)
Starting from a factorization theorem in effective field theory, we derive a parton-shower equation for the resummation of non-global logarithms. We have implemented this shower and interfaced it with a tree-level event generator to obtain an automated framework to resum the leading logarithm of non-global observables in the large-$N_c$ limit. Holiday fun with soft gluons / Becher, Thomas (speaker) (University of Bern)
Emissions of soft gluons from energetic particles play an important role in collider processes. While the basic physics of soft emissions is simple, it gives rise to a variety of interesting and intricate phenomena (non-global logs, Glauber phases, super-leading logs, factorization breaking). [...]

This report summarises the properties of Standard Model processes at the 100 TeV pp collider. We document the production rates and typical distributions for a number of benchmark Standard Model processes, and discuss new dynamical phenomena arising at the highest energies available at this collider. Automated NNLL  $+$  NLO resummation for jet-veto cross sections / Becher, Thomas (U. Bern, AEC) ; Frederix, Rikkert (CERN) ; Neubert, Matthias (U. Mainz, PRISMA ; Mainz U., Inst. Phys.) ; Rothen, Lorena (U. Bern, AEC)
In electroweak-boson production processes with a jet veto, higher-order corrections are enhanced by logarithms of the veto scale over the invariant mass of the boson system. In this paper, we resum these Sudakov logarithms at next-to-next-to-leading logarithmic (NNLL) accuracy and match our predictions to next-to-leading order (NLO) fixed-order results. [...]

Flavor Physics in the Quark Sector / Antonelli, Mario (Frascati) ; Asner, David Mark (Carleton U.) ; Bauer, D. (Imperial Coll., London) ; Becher, Thomas G. (Fermilab) ; Beneke, M. (Aachen, Tech. Hochsch.) ; Bevan, Adrian John (Queen Mary, U. of London) ; Blanke, Monika (Munich, Max Planck Inst. ; Munich, Tech. U.) ; Bloise, C. (Frascati) ; Bona, Marcella (CERN) ; Bondar, Alexander E. (Novosibirsk, IYF) et al.
One of the major challenges of particle physics has been to gain an in-depth understanding of the role of quark flavor and measurements and theoretical interpretations of their results have advanced tremendously: apart from masses and quantum numbers of flavor particles, there now exist detailed measurements of the characteristics of their interactions allowing stringent tests of Standard Model predictions. Among the most interesting phenomena of flavor physics is the violation of the CP symmetry that has been subtle and difficult to explore. [...]
