A time projection chamber with GEM-based readout / LCTPC Collaboration
For the International Large Detector concept at the planned International Linear Collider, the use of time projection chambers (TPC) with micro-pattern gas detector readout as the main tracking detector is investigated. In this paper, results from a prototype TPC, placed in a 1T solenoidal field and read out with three independent Gas Electron Multiplier (GEM) based readout modules, are reported. [...]

Operational Experience With the GEM Detector Assembly Lines for the CMS Forward Muon Upgrade / Abbaneo, D (CERN) ; Abbrescia, M (Bari Polytechnic ; INFN, Bari) ; Ahmad, A (NCP, Islamabad) ; Ahmed, W (NCP, Islamabad) ; Ali, C (Texas A-M) ; Altieri, P R (Bari Polytechnic ; INFN, Bari) ; Amr, M (Cairo, Acad. The CMS Collaboration has been developing large-area triple-gas electron multiplier (GEM) detectors to be installed in the muon Endcap regions of the CMS experiment in 2019 to maintain forward muon trigger and tracking performance at the High-Luminosity upgrade of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC); 10 preproduction detectors were built at CERN to commission the first assembly line and the quality controls (QCs). These were installed in the CMS detector in early 2017 and participated in the 2017 LHC run. [...]

Layout and Assembly Technique of the GEM Chambers for the Upgrade of the CMS First Muon Endcap Station / CMS Muon Collaboration
Triple-GEM detector technology was recently selected by CMS for a part of the upgrade of its forward muon detector system as GEM detectors provide a stable operation in the high radiation environment expected during the future High-Luminosity phase of the Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC). In a first step, GEM chambers (detectors) will be installed in the innermost muon endcap station in the $1.6<\left|\eta\right|<2.2$ pseudo-rapidity region, mainly to control level-1 muon trigger rates after the second LHC Long Shutdown. Search for a standard model-like Higgs boson in the mass range between 70 and 110 GeV in the diphoton final state in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=$ 8 and 13 TeV / CMS Collaboration
The results of a search for a standard model-like Higgs boson in the mass range between 70 and 110 GeV decaying into two photons are presented. The analysis uses the data set collected with the CMS experiment in proton-proton collisions during the 2012 and 2016 LHC running periods. [...]

Measurement of exclusive $\Upsilon$ photoproduction from protons in pPb collisions at $\sqrt{s_\mathrm{NN}} =$ 5.02 TeV / CMS Collaboration
The exclusive photoproduction of $\Upsilon$(nS) meson states from protons, $\gamma$p $ \to\Upsilon$(nS)p (with n = 1, 2, 3), is studied in ultraperipheral pPb collisions at a centre-of-mass energy per nucleon pair of $\sqrt{s_\mathrm{NN}} =$ 5.02 TeV. The measurement is performed using the $\Upsilon$(nS) $\to \mu^+\mu^-$ decay mode, with data collected by the CMS experiment corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 32.6 nb$^{-1}$. [...]

Search for heavy resonances decaying into two Higgs bosons or into a Higgs boson and a W or Z boson in proton-proton collisions at 13 TeV / CMS Collaboration
A search is presented for massive narrow resonances decaying either into two Higgs bosons, or into a Higgs boson and a W or Z boson. The decay channels considered are HH$\to \mathrm{b\overline{b}}\tau^{+}\tau^{-}$ and VH$ \to \mathrm{q\overline{q}}\tau^{+}\tau^{-}$, where H denotes the Higgs boson, and V denotes the W or Z boson. Search for resonant pair production of Higgs bosons decaying to bottom quark-antiquark pairs in proton-proton collisions at 13 TeV / CMS Collaboration
A search for a narrow-width resonance decaying into two Higgs bosons, each decaying into a bottom quark-antiquark pair, is presented. The search is performed using proton-proton collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb$^{-1}$ at $\sqrt{s}=$ 13 TeV recorded by the CMS detector at the LHC. [...]
