/ McIntosh, Peter (Daresbury ; Cockcroft Inst. Accel. Sci. Tech.) ; Belomestnykh, Sergey (Fermilab) ; Burt, Graeme (Lancaster U. ; Cockcroft Inst. Accel. Sci. For the 14 mrad crossing angle proposed, crab cavity systems are fundamentally anticipated for the viable operation of the International Linear Collider (ILC), in order to maximise its luminosity performance. Since 2021, a specialist development team have been defining optimum crab cavity technologies which can fulfil the operational requirements for ILC, both for its baseline centre-of-mass energy of 250 GeV, but also extending those requirements out to higher beam collision intensities. Electron-Hadron Colliders: EIC, LHeC and FCC-eh
/ Brüning, Oliver (CERN) ; Seryi, Andrei (Jefferson Lab) ; Verdú-Andrés, Silvia (Brookhaven)
Electron-hadron colliders are the ultimate tool for high-precision quantum chromodynamics studies and provide the ultimate microscope for probing the internal structure of hadrons. The electron is an ideal probe of the proton structure because it provides the unmatched precision of the electromagnetic interaction, as the virtual photon or vector bosons probe the proton structure in a clean environment, the kinematics of which is uniquely determined by the electron beam and the scattered lepton, or the hadronic final state accounting appropriately for radiation. First demonstration of the use of crab cavities on hadron beams
/ Calaga, R (CERN) ; Alekou, A (Manchester U.) ; Antoniou, F (CERN) ; Appleby, R B (Manchester U.) ; Arnaudon, L (CERN) ; Artoos, K (CERN) ; Arduini, G (CERN) ; Baglin, V (CERN) ; Barriere, S (CERN) ; Bartosik, H (CERN) et al.
Many future particle colliders require beam crabbing to recover geometric luminosity loss from the nonzero crossing angle at the interaction point (IP). A first demonstration experiment of crabbing with hadron beams was successfully carried out with high energy protons. [...]

An Insight on the Thermal and Mechanical Numerical Evaluations for the High-Luminosity LHC Crab Cavities
/ Cano-Pleite, Eduardo (CERN) ; Amorim Carvalho, Alexandre (CERN) ; Artoos, Kurt (CERN) ; Calaga, Rama (CERN) ; Capatina, Ofelia (CERN) ; Capelli, Teddy (CERN) ; Carra, Federico (CERN) ; Dassa, Luca (CERN) ; Garlasché, Marco (CERN) ; Leuxe, Raphael (CERN) et al.
One of the key devices of the HL-LHC project are SRF crab cavities. A cryomodule with two Double Quarter Wave (DQW) crab cavities has been successfully fabricat-ed and tested with beam at CERN whereas the Radio Frequency Dipole (RFD) crab cavities are currently on its fabrication process. [...]

Design of LHC Crab Cavities Based on DQW Cryomodule Test Experience
/ Verdú-Andrés, Silvia (Brookhaven Natl. Lab.) ; Calaga, Rama (CERN) ; Cano-Pleite, Eduardo (CERN) ; Leuxe, Raphael (CERN) ; Mitchell, James (Lancaster U. ; CERN)
A cryomodule with two Double-Quarter Wave (DQW) cavities was designed, built and tested with the SPS beam in 2018. Each cavity was equipped with an rf pickup antenna to monitor field amplitude and phase. [...]

Status of the HL-LHC Crab Cavity Tuner
/ Artoos, Kurt (CERN) ; Arnaudon, Luca (CERN) ; Calaga, Rama (CERN) ; Cano-Pleite, Eduardo (CERN) ; Capatina, Ofelia (CERN) ; Capelli, Teddy (CERN) ; Cartaxo dos Santos, Duarte (CERN) ; Garlasché, Marco (CERN) ; Glenat, David (CERN) ; Krawczyk, Artur (Cracow, INP ; CERN) et al.
The resonance frequency of the HL-LHC Double Quarter Wave (DQW) and Radio Frequency Dipole (RFD) crab cavities is set to the operating frequency of 400.79 MHz by deforming the cavities. For both types of cavities, the tuning principle foresees a symmetric mechanical deformation of parts of the cavities in vertical direction, with the tuner motor placed outside on top of the vacuum vessel. Cryogenic RF performance of double-quarter wave cavities equipped with HOM filters
/ Verdú-Andrés, Silvia (Brookhaven Natl. Lab.) ; Ben-Zvi, Ilan (Stony Brook U. ; Brookhaven Natl. Crab cavities are one of the several components included in the luminosity upgrade of the Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC). The cavities have to provide a nominal deflecting kick of 3.4 MV per cavity while the cryogenic load per cavity stays below 5 W. [...]
