Search for $\nu_{\mu} \to \nu_{\tau}$ oscillation with the OPERA experiment in the CNGS beam / OPERA Collaboration
The OPERA neutrino experiment in the underground Gran Sasso Laboratory (LNGS) was designed to perform the first detection of neutrino oscillations in direct appearance mode in the nu_mu to nu_tau channel, the nu_tau signature being the identification of the tau-lepton created in its charged current interaction. [...]

Momentum measurement by the Multiple Coulomb Scattering method in the OPERA lead emulsion target / OPERA Collaboration
A new method of momentum measurement of charged particles through Multiple Coulomb Scattering (MCS) in the OPERA lead emulsion target is presented. It is based on precise measurements of track angular deviations performed thanks to the very high resolution of nuclear emulsions. [...]

Study of neutrino interactions with the electronic detectors of the OPERA experiment / OPERA Collaboration
The OPERA experiment is based on a hybrid technology combining electronic detectors and nuclear emulsions. OPERA collected muon-neutrino interactions during the 2008 and 2009 physics runs of the CNGS neutrino beam, produced at CERN with an energy range of about 5-35 GeV. [...]

Observation of a first $\nu_\tau$ candidate event in the OPERA experiment in the CNGS beam / OPERA Collaboration
The OPERA neutrino detector in the underground Gran Sasso Laboratory (LNGS) has been designed to perform the first detection of neutrino oscillations in direct appearance mode through the study of the $\nu_\mu\rightarrow\nu_\tau$ channel. The hybrid apparatus consists of an emulsion/lead target complemented by electronic detectors and it is placed in the high energy long-baseline CERN to LNGS beam (CNGS) 730 km away from the neutrino source. [...]

Incorporation of the Goudsmit–Saunderson electron transport theory in the Geant4 Monte Carlo code / Kadri, O (National Center for Nuclear Sciences and Technologies, Tunis) ; Ivanchenko, V (CERN ; Moscow State U.) ; Gharbi, F (National Center for Nuclear Sciences and Technologies, Tunis) ; Trabelsi, A (National Center for Nuclear Sciences and Technologies, Tunis)
The present work describes the implementation of the multiple scattering formalism for charged particle transport based on the Goudsmit–Saunderson angular distribution and satisfying the Lewis spatial displacement theories. Furthermore, the most realistic total cross sections and transport cross sections for single elastic scattering of electrons and positrons by neutral atoms were carried out using the ELSEPA code. GEANT4 simulation of electron energy deposition in extended media / Kadri, O (National Center for Nuclear Sciences and Technologies, Tunis, Tunisia) ; Ivanchenko, V N (CERN ; Moscow State Univ., Moscow, Russia) ; Gharbi, F (National Center for Nuclear Sciences and Technologies, Tunis, Tunisia) ; Trabelsi, A (National Center for Nuclear Sciences and Technologies, Tunis, Tunisia)
The present work demonstrates that GEANT4 yields a consistent description of electron transport processes in semi-infinite homogeneous and heterogeneous extended media. This comparison covers the e− energy deposition profiles in a range of elements from aluminum to tantalum through molybdenum at source energies from 0.3 to 1.0 MeV and at incident angles from 0° to 60°. Measurement of the W boson Mass and Width in $e^{+}e^{-}$ Collisions at LEP / ALEPH Collaboration
The mass of the W boson is determined from the direct reconstruction of its decays into purely hadronic and semi-leptonic events in e+e- collisions at LEP. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 683 inverse picobarns collected with the ALEPH detector at centre-of-mass energies up to 209 GeV [...]
