/ Torti, Marta (INFN, Milan Bicocca) ; Acerbi, Fabio (Fond. Bruno Kessler, Trento) ; Angelis, Ioannis (Aristotle U., Thessaloniki) ; Bomben, Luca (Insubria U., Como ; INFN, Milan Bicocca) ; Bonesini, Maurizio (INFN, Milan Bicocca) ; Bramati, Filippo (INFN, Milan Bicocca ; Milan Bicocca U.) ; Branca, Antonio (INFN, Milan Bicocca ; Milan Bicocca U.) ; Brizzolari, Claudia (INFN, Milan Bicocca ; Milan Bicocca U.) ; Brunetti, Giulia (INFN, Milan Bicocca ; Milan Bicocca U.) ; Calviani, Marco (CERN) et al.
The main source of systematic uncertainty on neutrino cross section measurements at the GeV scale is represented by the poor knowledge of the initial flux. The goal of cutting down this uncertainty to 1% can be achieved through the monitoring of charged leptons produced in association with neutrinos, by properly instrumenting the decay region of a conventional narrow-band neutrino beam. The goal of the ENUBET project is to develop the first monitored neutrino beam, where the neutrino flux can be measured with a 1% precision, in order to carry out measurements of high precision of the neutrino cross section in the energy range of relevance for HyperKamiokande and DUNE. The systematic uncertainties are suppressed by detecting, in an instrumented decay tunnel, the large-angle leptons generated in the K+ e3 three body decay K+ → e+π0νe . [...]

Probing Long-Range Forces in Neutrino Oscillations at the ESSnuSB Experiment
/ ESSnuSB Collaboration
Neutrino oscillations constitute an excellent tool to probe physics beyond the Standard Model. In this paper, we investigate the potential of the ESSnuSB experiment to constrain the effects of flavour-dependent long-range forces (LRFs) in neutrino oscillations, which may arise due to the extension of the Standard Model gauge group by introducing new $U(1)$ symmetries. [...]

In the effort to obtain a precise measurement of leptonic CP-violation with the ESS$\nu$SB experiment, accurate and fast reconstruction of detector events plays a pivotal role. In this work, we examine the possibility of replacing the currently proposed likelihood-based reconstruction method with an approach based on Graph Neural Networks (GNNs). [...]

Search for Leptonic CP Violation with the ESSnuSBplus Project
/ ESSnuSB Collaboration
ESSνSB is a design study for a next-generation long-baseline neutrino experiment that aims at the precise measurement of the CP-violating phase, δCP, in the leptonic sector at the second oscillation maximum. The conceptual design report published from the first phase of the project showed that after 10 years of data taking, more than 70% of the possible δCP range will be covered with 5σ C.L. [...]

Monitored neutrino beams are a novel technology designed to provide measurements of the neutrino cross sections at GeV scale with a total uncertainty of O(1%), thus improving by one order of magnitude current experimental estimates. The ENUBET project is close to proving for the first time the feasibility of this concept and the Collaboration is preparing a proposal for a new neutrino beam at CERN based on the SPS accelerator and the ProtoDUNEs neutrino detectors that are already operative at the North Experimental Area. Decoherence in Neutrino Oscillation at the ESSnuSB Experiment
/ ESSnuSB Collaboration
Neutrino oscillation experiments provide a unique window in exploring several new physics scenarios beyond the standard three flavour. One such scenario is quantum decoherence in neutrino oscillation which tends to destroy the interference pattern of neutrinos reaching the far detector from the source. [...]

Monitored neutrino beams are facilities where beam diagnostics enable the counting and identification of charged leptons in the decay tunnel of a narrow band beam. These facilities can monitor neutrino production at the single particle level (flux precision %) and provide information about the neutrino energy at the 10% level. [...]
