Performance of the CMS high-level trigger during LHC Run 2 / CMS Collaboration
The CERN LHC provided proton and heavy ion collisions during its Run 2 operation period from 2015 to 2018. Proton-proton collisions reached a peak instantaneous luminosity of 2.1 $ \times $ 10$^{34}$ cm$^{-2}$s$^{-1} $, twice the initial design value, at $ \sqrt{s}= $ 13 TeV. [...]

The Gas Electron Multiplier (GEM) detectors of the GE1/1 station of the CMS experiment have been operated in the CMS magnetic field for the first time on the 7$^{th}$ of October 2021. During the magnetic field ramps, several discharge phenomena were observed, leading to instability in the GEM High Voltage (HV) power system. [...]

Production and validation of industrially produced large-sized GEM foils for the Phase-2 upgrade of the CMS muon spectrometer / CMS Muon Collaboration
The upgrade of the CMS detector for the high luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) will include gas electron multiplier (GEM) detectors in the end-cap muon spectrometer. Due to the limited supply of large area GEM detectors, the Korean CMS (KCMS) collaboration had formed a consortium with Mecaro Co., Ltd. [...]

The upgrade of the CMS detector for the high luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) will include gas electron multiplier (GEM) detectors in the end-cap muon spectrometer. Due to the limited supply of large area GEM detectors, the Korean CMS (KCMS) collaboration had formed a consortium with Mecaro Co., Ltd. to serve as a supplier of GEM foils with area of approximately 0.6 m$^{2}$. The consortium has developed a double-mask etching technique for production of these large-sized GEM foils. This article describes the production, quality control, and quality assessment (QA/QC) procedures and the mass production status for the GEM foils. [...]

Radiation background estimation for the GE11 Triple-GEM detectors in the CMS endcap / Bouhali, O (Texas A&M; U. The Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) is a general-purpose particle detector at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) designed to study a wide range of particles produced in high energy collisions. The interaction of the beams with the pipe, shielding and detector supporting materials can produce neutrons, photons, electrons and positrons, forming a common background radiation field for CMS detector. Search for a vector-like quark T' $ \to $ tH via the diphoton decay mode of the Higgs boson in proton-proton collisions at $ \sqrt{s}= $ 13 TeV / CMS Collaboration
A search for the electroweak production of a vector-like quark T', decaying to a top quark and a Higgs boson is presented. The search is based on a sample of proton-proton collision events recorded at the LHC at $ \sqrt{s}= $ 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 138 fb$ ^{-1} $. [...]

The collider experiments of the modern era produce an extreme environment of radiation fields. It becomes quite challenging to operate the detectors in such an environment as the high-radiation background complicates the particle identification. [...]

Search for top squarks in the four-body decay mode with single lepton final states in proton-proton collisions at $ \sqrt{s}= $ 13 TeV / CMS Collaboration
A search for the pair production of the lightest supersymmetric partner of the top quark, the top squark ($ \tilde{\mathrm{t}}_{1} $), is presented. The search targets the four-body decay of the $ \tilde{\mathrm{t}}_{1} $, which is preferred when the mass difference between the top squark and the lightest supersymmetric particle is smaller than the mass of the W boson. A search is performed for exclusive high-mass $ \gamma\gamma \to \mathrm{W}\mathrm{W} $ and $ \gamma\gamma \to \mathrm{Z}\mathrm{Z} $ production in proton-proton collisions using intact forward protons reconstructed in near-beam detectors, with both weak bosons decaying into boosted and merged jets.
