Detailed structure of Sn131 populated in the β decay of isomerically purified In131 states / IDS Collaboration
The excited structure of the single-hole nucleus Sn131 populated by the β− decay of In131 was investigated in detail at the ISOLDE facility at CERN. This new experiment took advantage of isomeric purification capabilities provided by resonant ionization, making it possible to independently study the decay of each isomer for the first time. [...]

Performance of a spaghetti calorimeter prototype with tungsten absorber and garnet crystal fibres / An, Liupan (CERN) ; Auffray, Etiennette (CERN) ; Betti, Federico (CERN) ; Dall'Omo, Frederik (CERN) ; Gascon, David (ICC, Barcelona U.) ; Golutvin, Andrey (Imperial Coll., London) ; Guz, Yury (Serpukhov, IHEP) ; Kholodenko, Sergey (Serpukhov, IHEP) ; Martinazzoli, Loris (CERN ; Milan Bicocca U.) ; De Cos, José Mazorra (Valencia U., IFIC) et al.
A spaghetti calorimeter (SPACAL) prototype with scintillating crystal fibres was assembled and tested with electron beams of energy from 1 to 5 GeV. The prototype comprised radiation-hard Cerium-doped Gd$_3$Al$_2$Ga$_3$O$_{12}$ (GAGG:Ce) and Y$_3$Al$_5$O$_{12}$ (YAG:Ce) embedded in a pure tungsten absorber. [...]

We are presenting a novel design of a high performance brain dedicated PET scanner which focuses on optimizing imaging performance in the whole brain, as well as in head and neck, through simultaneous high resolution and high sensitivity. This is realized using a sensitivity-optimized scanner design composed of an elliptical cylinder that follows the shape of the human head, together with added front and back panels for increased coverage. First β-decay spectroscopy of $^{135}$In and new $β$-decay branches of $^{134}$In / IDS Collaboration
The $\beta$ decay of the neutron-rich $^{134}$In and $^{135}$In was investigated experimentally in order to provide new insights into the nuclear structure of the tin isotopes with magic proton number $Z=50$ above the $N=82$ shell. The $\beta$-delayed $\gamma$-ray spectroscopy measurement was performed at the ISOLDE facility at CERN, where indium isotopes were selectively laser-ionized and on-line mass separated. [...]

Measurement of the $W$ boson mass / LHCb Collaboration
The $W$ boson mass is measured using proton-proton collision data at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.7 fb$^{-1}$ recorded during 2016 by the LHCb experiment. With a simultaneous fit of the muon $q/p_T$ distribution of a sample of $W \to \mu\nu$ decays and the $\phi^*$ distribution of a sample of $Z\to\mu\mu$ decays the $W$ boson mass is determined to be \begin{equation*} m_{W} = 80354 \pm 23_{\rm stat} \pm 10_{\rm exp} \pm 17_{\rm theory} \pm 9_{\rm PDF}~\mathrm{MeV}, \end{equation*} where uncertainties correspond to contributions from statistical, experimental systematic, theoretical and parton distribution function sources. Measurement of prompt charged-particle production in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13\,\mathrm{TeV}$ / LHCb Collaboration
The differential cross-section of prompt inclusive production of long-lived charged particles in proton-proton collisions is measured using a data sample recorded by the LHCb experiment at a centre-of-mass energy of ${\sqrt{s} = 13\,\mathrm{TeV}}$. The data sample, collected with an unbiased trigger, corresponds to an integrated luminosity of ${5.4\,\mathrm{nb}^{-1}}$. [...]

Observation of excited $\Omega_c^0$ baryons in $\Omega_b^- \to \Xi_c^+ K^-\pi^-$decays / LHCb Collaboration
The first observation of the $\Omega_b^-\to\Xi_c^+ K^- \pi^-$ decay is reported using proton-proton collision data at centre-of-mass energies of $7$, $8$ and $13\,\mathrm{TeV}$ collected by the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $9\,\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$. Four excited $\Omega_c^0$ baryons are observed in the $\Xi_c^+ K^-$ mass projection of the $\Omega_b^-\to\Xi_c^+ K^- \pi^-$ decays with significance exceeding five standard deviations. [...]
