The reduced transition probabilities for the $4^+_1 \to 2^+_1$ and $2^+_1 \to 0^+_1$ transitions in $^{92}$Mo and $^{94}$Ru and for the $4^+_1 \to 2^+_1$ and $6^+_1 \to 4^+_1$ transitions in $^{90}$Zr have been determined in this experiment making use of a multinucleon transfer reaction. These results have been interpreted on the basis of realistic shell-model calculations in the $f_{5/2}, p_{3/2}, p_{1/2},$ and $g_{9/2}$ proton valence space. [...]

Reinterpretation of excited states in $^{212}$Po: Shell-model multiplets rather than $\alpha$-cluster states
/ Fernández, A (CSIC, Madrid) ; Jungclaus, A (CSIC, Madrid) ; Golubev, P (Lund U.) ; Rudolph, D (Lund U.) ; Sarmiento, L G (Lund U.) ; Gargano, A (INFN, Naples) ; Naïdja, H (Constantine U.) ; Astier, A (IJCLab, Orsay) ; Dupont, E (IJCLab, Orsay) ; Gadea, A (Valencia U., IFIC) et al.
A $\gamma$ -ray spectroscopic study of $^{212}$Po was performed at the Grand Accélérateur National d’Ions Lourds, using the inverse kinematics α-transfer reaction $^{12}$C($^{208}$Pb, $^{212}$Po) $^8$Be and the AGATA spectrometer. A careful analysis based on $\gamma \gamma$ coincidence relations allowed us to establish 14 new excited states in the energy range between 1.9 and 3.3 MeV. [...]

Probing the single-particle behavior above $^{132}$Sn via electromagnetic moments of $^{133,134}$Sb and $N=82$ isotones

Magnetic and quadrupole moments of the $7/2^+$ ground state in $^{133}$Sb and the ($7^-$) isomer in $^{134}$Sb have been measured by collinear laser spectroscopy to investigate the single-particle behavior above the doubly magic nucleus $^{132}$Sn. The comparison of experimental data of the $7/2^+$ states in $^{133}$Sb and neighboring $N = 82$ isotones to shell-model calculations reveals the sensitivity of magnetic moments to the splitting of the spin-orbit partners $\pi 0g_{9/2}$ and $\pi 0g_{7/2}$ across the proton shell closure at $Z = 50$. Doubly-magic character of $^{132}$Sn studied via electromagnetic moments of $^{133}$Sn
/ Rodríguez, L V (Orsay, IPN ; Heidelberg, Max Planck Inst.) ; Balabanski, D L (Bucharest, IFIN-HH) ; Bissell, M L (Manchester U.) ; Blaum, K (Heidelberg, Max Planck Inst.) ; Cheal, B (Liverpool U.) ; De Gregorio, G (INFN, Naples ; Napoli Seconda U.) ; Ekman, J (Malmo U.) ; Garcia Ruiz, R F (CERN) ; Gargano, A (INFN, Naples) ; Georgiev, G (CSNSM, Orsay) et al.
We report the first measurement of the magnetic dipole and electric quadrupole moment of the exotic nucleus $^{132}$Sn by high-resolution laser spectroscopy at ISOLDE/CERN. These, in combination with state-of-the-art shell-model calculations, demonstrate the single-particle character of the ground state of this short-lived isotope and, hence, the doubly-magic character of its immediate neighbor $^{132}$Sn. The levels in Sn129 populated from the β− decay of In129 isomers were investigated at the ISOLDE facility of CERN using the newly commissioned ISOLDE Decay Station (IDS). The lowest 1/2+ state and the 3/2+ ground state in Sn129 are expected to have configurations dominated by the neutron s1/2 (l=0) and d3/2 (l=2) single-particle states, respectively. [...]
