Pixel Chamber: A solid-state active-target for 3D imaging of charm and beauty / Mulliri, A (Cagliari U. ; INFN, Cagliari) ; Arba, M (INFN, Cagliari) ; Bhattacharya, P (Adamas Inst. Tech., Barasat) ; Bruno, G E (Bari Polytechnic) ; Casula, E (Cagliari U. ; INFN, Cagliari) ; Cicalò, C (INFN, Cagliari) ; Colamaria, F (Bari Polytechnic) ; Fionda, F (Cagliari U. ; INFN, Cagliari) ; De Falco, A (Cagliari U. ; INFN, Cagliari) ; Mager, M (CERN) et al.
The Pixel Chamber project purpose is the production of the first solid state active target capable of performing continuous, high-resolution (O(μm)) 3D tracking. The aim is to create a bubble chamber-like high-granularity stack of hundreds of very thin monolithic active pixel sensors (MAPS) glued together. [...]

Measurement of (anti)nuclei production in p-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}} = 8.16$ TeV / ALICE Collaboration
Measurements of (anti)proton, (anti)deuteron, and (anti)$^3$He production in the rapidity range $-1<y< 0$ as a function of the transverse momentum and event multiplicity in p-Pb collisions at a center-of-mass energy per nucleon-nucleon pair $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}} = 8.16$ TeV are presented. The coalescence parameters $B_2$ and $B_3$, measured as a function of the transverse momentum per nucleon and of the mean charged-particle multiplicity density, confirm a smooth evolution from low to high multiplicity across different collision systems and energies. [...]

Pixel chamber: a solid-state active-target for 3D imaging of charm and beauty / Mulliri, A (Cagliari U.) ; Arba, M (INFN, Cagliari) ; Bhattacharya, P (Cagliari U.) ; Casula, E (Cagliari U.) ; Cicalò, C (INFN, Cagliari) ; De Falco, A (Cagliari U.) ; Mager, M (CERN) ; Marras, D (INFN, Cagliari) ; Masoni, A (INFN, Cagliari) ; Musa, L (CERN) et al.
The aim of the pixel chamber project is to develop the first “solid-state bubble chamber” for high precision measurement of charm and beauty. In this paper we will describe the idea for the first silicon active target conceived as an ultra-high granular stack of hundreds of very thin monolithic active pixel sensors (MAPS), which provides continuous, high-resolution 3D tracking of all of the particles produced in proton-silicon interactions occurring inside the detector volume, including open charm and beauty. Trends in particle and nuclei identification techniques in nuclear physics experiments / Badalà, A (INFN, Catania) ; La Cognata, M (INFN, LNS) ; Nania, R (INFN, Bologna) ; Osipenko, M (INFN, Genoa) ; Piantelli, S (INFN, Florence) ; Turrisi, R (INFN, Padua) ; Barion, L (INFN, Ferrara) ; Capra, S (Milan U. ; INFN, Milan) ; Carbone, D (INFN, Catania) ; Carnesecchi, F (INFN, Bologna ; CERN) et al.
Particle identification techniques are fundamental tools in nuclear physics experiments. Discriminating particles or nuclei produced in nuclear interactions allows to better understand the underlying physics mechanisms. [...]

Measurement of anti-$^{3}$He nuclei absorption in matter and impact on their propagation in the Galaxy / ALICE Collaboration
Antimatter particles such as positrons and antiprotons abound in the cosmos. Much less common are light antinuclei, composed of antiprotons and antineutrons, which can be produced in our galaxy via high-energy cosmic-ray collisions with the interstellar medium or could also originate from the annihilation of the still undiscovered dark-matter particles. Multiplicity dependence of charged-particle jet production in pp collisions at $\mathbf {\sqrt{s}}=\mathbf {13~TeV}$ / ALICE Collaboration
The multiplicity dependence of jet production in pp collisions at the centre-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s} = 13\ \mathrm{TeV}$ is studied for the first time. Jets are reconstructed from charged particles using the anti-$k_\mathrm{T}$ algorithm with resolution parameters $R$ varying from $0.2$ to $0.7$. [...]

First study of the two-body scattering involving charm hadrons / ALICE Collaboration
This Letter presents the first measurement of the interaction between charm hadrons and nucleons. The two-particle momentum correlations of $\mathrm{pD}^{−}$ and $\overline{\mathrm{p}}\mathrm{D}^{+}$ pairs are measured by the ALICE Collaboration in high-multiplicity pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV. Forward rapidity J/$\psi$ production as a function of charged-particle multiplicity in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} =$ 5.02 and 13 TeV / ALICE Collaboration
The production of J/$\psi$ is measured as a function of charged-particle multiplicity at forward rapidity in proton$-$proton (pp) collisions at center-of-mass energies $\sqrt{s} =$ 5.02 and 13 TeV. The J/$\psi$ mesons are reconstructed via their decay into dimuons in the rapidity interval (2.5 $< y <$ 4.0), whereas the charged-particle multiplicity density (\dnchdeta) is measured at midrapidity $(|\eta| < 1)$.
