The energy spectra of single gamma -rays produced in proton-proton collisions at the CERN Intersecting Storage Rings have been measured at three primary energies and four production angles: E/sub CM/=30.2 GeV, 44.7 GeV and 52.7 GeV, /sup theta /CM =10.2/sup o/, 16.4/sup o/, 23.5/sup o/ and 90/sup o/. The results are shown to be compatible with the conjecture of limiting distributions. [...]

Thirteen targets with mass numbers from 58 to 238 were irradiated with the antiproton beam from the Low Energy Antiproton Ring facility at CERN leading to the formation of antiprotonic atoms of these heavy elements.
