Monitored neutrino beams are a novel technology designed to provide measurements of the neutrino cross sections at GeV scale with a total uncertainty of O(1%), thus improving by one order of magnitude current experimental estimates. The ENUBET project is close to proving for the first time the feasibility of this concept and the Collaboration is preparing a proposal for a new neutrino beam at CERN based on the SPS accelerator and the ProtoDUNEs neutrino detectors that are already operative at the North Experimental Area. The CERN SPS Beam Dump System (SBDS) is responsible for disposing the beam in the SPS in case of any machine malfunctioning or end of cycled operation.This is achieved by the actuation of kicker magnets with predefined pulses, which aim to: i) deviate the beam towards the absorber block (TIDVG); ii) dilute the particle density. Evidently, a malfunction of this system may have negative consequences, such as the absorber block degrading if the beam is not sufficiently diluted, unwanted activation of the surroundings or even damage to the vacuum chamber in case of complete failure.By leveraging a combination of real images from a beam screen device and data from simulations, we train an online monitoring system to identify potential failures of the SBDS from real-time images. Initiated through the Physics Beyond Colliders (PBC) Study Group there is a strong interest from the scientific community to exploit the full intensity potential of the Super Proton Synchrotron (SPS) at CERN for Fixed Target physics experiments before the end of this decade. With the ECN3 cavern in the North Area (NA) identified as a suitable candidate location for a future high-intensity experimental facility compatible with a large variety of experiments, the new PBC ECN3 Beam Delivery Task Force was mandated to assess the feasibility of delivering a slow extracted beam of up to 4x10^19 protons per year at 400 GeV. In the accelerator applications of slow extraction for High Energy Physics (HEP), one of the prime challenges is the mitigation of beam losses, which is becoming increasingly critical with the continuous rise in beam power. A significant breakthrough was achieved earlier at CERN through the successful deployment of proton beam channeling in a crystal at 400 GeV, effectively diverting the beam away from extraction septa and offering new avenues for improving slow extraction efficiency.
