Neutron-induced fission cross section of Np237 in the keV to MeV range at the CERN n_TOF facility
/ Diakaki, M ; Karadimos, D ; Vlastou, R ; Kokkoris, M ; Demetriou, P ; Skordis, E ; Tsinganis, A ; Abbondanno, U ; Aerts, G ; Álvarez, H et al.
The neutron-induced fission cross section of Np237 was experimentally determined at the high-resolution and high-intensity facility n_TOF, at CERN, in the energy range 100 keV to 9 MeV, using the U235(n,f) and U238(n,f) cross section standards below and above 2 MeV, respectively. A fast ionization chamber was used in order to detect the fission fragments from the reactions and the targets were characterized as far as their mass and homogeneity are concerned by means of α spectroscopy and Rutherford backscattering spectroscopy respectively. The stellar (n,γ) cross sections of the Ne isotopes are important for a number of astrophysical quests, i.e., for the interpretation of abundance patterns in presolar material or with respect to the s-process neutron balance in red giant stars. This paper presents resonance studies of experimental data in the keV range, which had not been fully analyzed before. [...]

Neutron-induced fission cross section of U234 measured at the CERN n_TOF facility
/ Karadimos, D ; Vlastou, R ; Ioannidis, K ; Demetriou, P ; Diakaki, M ; Vlachoudis, V (CERN) ; Pavlopoulos, P ; Konovalov, V ; Abbondanno, U ; Aerts, G et al.
The neutron-induced fission cross section of U234 has been measured at the CERN n_TOF facility relative to the standard fission cross section of U235 from 20 keV to 1.4 MeV and of U238 from 1.4 to 200 MeV. A fast ionization chamber (FIC) was used as a fission fragment detector with a detection efficiency of no less than 97%. [...]

/n_TOF
The neutron time of flight (n_TOF) facility at CERN is a spallation neutron source with white neutron energy spectrum (from thermal to several GeV), covering the full energy range of interest for nuclear astrophysics, in particular for measurement s of the neutron capture cross section required in s-process nucleosynthesis. This contribution presents an overview on the astrophysical program carried on at the n_TOF facility, the main results and their implications..

Neutron capture on (94)Zr: Resonance parameters and Maxwellian-averaged cross sections
/ Tagliente, G (Gent U. ; INFN, Bari) ; Milazzo, P.M (INFN, Trieste) ; Fujii, K (INFN, Trieste) ; Abbondanno, U (INFN, Trieste) ; Aerts, G (DAPNIA, Saclay) ; Alvarez, H (Santiago de Compostela U.) ; Alvarez-Velarde, F (Madrid, CIEMAT) ; Andriamonje, S (DAPNIA, Saclay) ; Andrzejewski, J (Lodz U.) ; Audouin, L (Karlsruhe, Forschungszentrum) et al.
The neutron capture cross sections of the Zr isotopes play an important role in nucleosynthesis studies. The s-process reaction flow between the Fe seed and the heavier isotopes passes through the neutron magic nucleus (90)Zr and through (91,92,93,94)Zr, but only part of the flow extends to (96)Zr because of the branching point at (95)Zr.
