The $\pi^+ \pi^ -\pi^0$, $K^+ K^- \pi^0$ and $K^\pm K^0 \pi^\mp$ final states produced by $\bar p p$ annihilation at rest at three different hydrogen target densities have been analyzed in the frame of a coupled channel analysis together with $\pi \pi$, $\pi K$ and $K \bar K$ scattering data. The percentages of the different partial waves, the branching ratios and the parameters (masses, widths, $\pi \pi$ and $K \bar K$ partial widths) of all the involved resonances ($J^P = 0^+, 1^-, 2^+$) have been measured. Temperature dependence of anti-hydrogen production in the ATHENA experiment
/ Bonomi, G ; Amoretti, M ; Amsler, Claude ; Bouchta, A ; Bowe, P ; Carraro, C ; Cesar, C L ; Charlton, M ; Doser, Michael ; Filippini, V et al.
The ATHENA experiment recently produced the first sample of cold anti-hydrogen atoms by mixing cold plasmas of anti-protons and positrons. The temperature of the positron plasma was increased by controlled RF heating and the anti-hydrogen production rate was measured. [...]

Production and detection of cold anti-hydrogen atoms : A first step towards high precision CPT test
/ Variola, A ; Amoretti, M ; Bonomi, G ; Boutcha, A ; Bowe, P ; Carraro, C ; Cesar, C L ; Charlton, M ; Doser, Michael ; Filippini, V et al.
Observations of anti-hydrogen in small quantities have been reported at CERN and at FermiLab, but these experiments were not suited to spectroscopy experiments. In 2002 the ATHENA collaboration reported the production and detection of very low energy anti-hydrogen atoms produced in cryogenic environment. [...]

Dynamical selection rules from $\overline{p}p$ annihilation at rest in three meson final states
/ OBELIX Collaboration
The hadronic annihilation branching-ratios in quasi-two-body final states have been obtained from the observation of the reactions pp to pi /sup +/ pi /sup -/ pi /sup 0/, K/sup +/K/sup -/ pi /sup 0/, K/sup +or-/ pi -or+K/sup 0/ at rest in hydrogen targets at different densities. The enhancement or suppression of specific hadronic channels connected to dynamical selection rules is observed in the production of different resonances both in protonium S and P-waves, systematically investigated for the first time. $\overline{p}p$ annihilation into four charged pions at rest and in flight
/ OBELIX Collaboration
The spin-parity analysis of the data on the pp to 2 pi /sup +/ 2 pi /sup $/annihilation reaction at rest in liquid and in gaseous hydrogen at 3 bar pressure and in flight at p momentum of approximately= 50 MeV/c, collected by the Obelix spectrometer at the LEAR complex of CERN, is presented. The relative branching ratios (a /sub 1/ (1260) to sigma pi )/(a/sub 1/(1260) to rho pi ) = 0.06 +or- 0.05 and ( pi (1300) to sigma pi )/( pi (1300) to rho pi ) = 2.2 +or- 0.4 are obtained. [...]

Real-time detector for plasma diagnostic in antimatter experiment
/ Carraro, C ; Amoretti, M ; Amsler, Claude ; Bonomi, G ; Bouchta, A ; Bowe, P ; Cesar, C L ; Charlton, M ; Doser, Michael ; Filippini, V et al.
In the ATHENA experiment, which has recently produced and detected cold antihydrogen, the antiatoms formation is performed by mixing two cold (meV) charged clouds of positrons and antiprotons. The antihydrogen production is strictly dependent on positron plasma parameters. [...]
