Observation of VVZ production at s=13 TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
A search for the production of three massive vector bosons, VVZ(V=W,Z), in proton–proton collisions at s=13 TeV is performed using data with an integrated luminosity of 140 fb−1 recorded by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. Events produced in the leptonic final states WWZ→ℓνℓνℓℓ (ℓ=e,μ), WZZ→ℓνℓℓℓℓ, ZZZ→ℓℓℓℓℓℓ, and the semileptonic final states WWZ→qqℓνℓℓ and WZZ→ℓνqqℓℓ, are analysed. [...]

Energy scale and resolution for anti-$k_t$ jets with radius parameters $R=0.2$ and 0.6 measured in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
Jets with different radius parameters $R$ are an important tool to probe quantum chromodynamics processes at different angular scales. Jets with small $R=0.2$ are instrumental in measurements of the substructure of large-$R$ jets resulting from collimated hadronic decays of energetic $W$, $Z$, and Higgs bosons, top quarks, and of potential new resonances. Improved reconstruction of highly boosted $\tau $-lepton pairs in the $\tau \tau \rightarrow (\mu \nu _{\mu }\nu _{\tau })(\text {hadrons}+\nu _{\tau })$ decay channels with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
This paper presents a new $\tau$-lepton reconstruction and identification procedure at the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider, which leads to significantly improved performance in the case of physics processes where a highly boosted pair of $\tau$-leptons is produced and one $\tau$-lepton decays into a muon and two neutrinos ($\tau_{\mu}$), and the other decays into hadrons and one neutrino ($\tau_{had}$). By removing the muon information from the signals used for reconstruction and identification of the $\tau_{had}$ candidate in the boosted pair, the efficiency is raised to the level expected for an isolated $\tau_{had}$. Cross-section measurements for the production of a $W$-boson in association with high-transverse-momentum jets in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}$= 13 TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
A set of measurements for the production of a $W$-boson in association with high-transverse-momentum jets is presented using 140 fb$^{-1}$ of proton-proton collision data at a centre-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV collected by the ATLAS detector at the LHC. The measurements are performed in final states in which the $W$-boson decays into an electron or muon plus a neutrino and is produced in association with jets with $p_{\text{T}}>30$ GeV, where the leading jet has $p_{\text{T}}>500$ GeV. Precision measurement of the $B^{0}$ meson lifetime using $B^{0} \rightarrow J/\psi K^{*0}$ decays with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
A measurement of the $B^{0}$ meson lifetime and related properties using $B^0 \to J/\psi K^{*0}$ decays in data from 13 TeV proton-proton collisions with an integrated luminosity of 140 fb$^{-1}$ recorded by the ATLAS detector at the LHC is presented. The measured effective lifetime is $$ \tau = 1.5053 \pm 0.0012 ~\mathrm{(stat.)} \pm 0.0035 ~\mathrm{(syst.)~ps}. [...]

Reconstruction and identification of pairs of collimated $\tau$-leptons decaying hadronically using $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV $pp$ collision data with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
This paper describes an algorithm for reconstructing and identifying a highly collimated hadronically decaying $\tau$-lepton pair with low transverse momentum. When two $\tau$-leptons are highly collimated, their visible decay products might overlap, degrading the reconstruction performance for each of the $\tau$-leptons. [...]

The Lund jet plane (LJP) is measured for the first time in tt̄ events, using 140 fb$^{-1}$ of $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV pp collision data collected with the ATLAS detector at the LHC. The LJP is a two-dimensional observable of the sub-structure of hadronic jets that acts as a proxy for the kinematics of parton showers and hadron formation. [...]

Search for a light charged Higgs boson in $t \rightarrow H^{\pm } b$ decays, with $H^{\pm } \rightarrow cs$, in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}={13}\hbox { TeV}$ with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
A search for a light charged Higgs boson produced in decays of the top quark, $t \to H^\pm b$ with $H^\pm \to cs$, is presented. This search targets the production of top-quark pairs $t\bar{t} \to Wb H^\pm b$, with $W \to \ell\nu$ ($\ell = e, \mu$), resulting in a lepton-plus-jets final state characterised by an isolated electron or muon and at least four jets. Total Cost of Ownership and Evaluation of Google Cloud Resources for the ATLAS Experiment at the LHC / ATLAS Collaboration
The ATLAS Google Project was established as part of an ongoing evaluation of the use of commercial clouds by the ATLAS Collaboration, in anticipation of the potential future adoption of such resources by WLCG grid sites to fulfil or complement their computing pledges. Seamless integration of Google cloud resources into the worldwide ATLAS distributed computing infrastructure was achieved at large scale and for an extended period of time, and hence cloud resources are shown to be an effective mechanism to provide additional, flexible computing capacity to ATLAS. Underlying-event studies with strange hadrons in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
Properties of the underlying-event in $pp$ interactions are investigated primarily via the strange hadrons $K_{S}^{0}$, $\Lambda$ and $\bar\Lambda$, as reconstructed using the ATLAS detector at the LHC in minimum-bias $pp$ collision data at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV. The hadrons are reconstructed via the identification of the displaced two-particle vertices corresponding to the decay modes $K_{S}^{0}\rightarrow\pi^+\pi^-$, $\Lambda\rightarrow\pi^-p$ and $\bar\Lambda\rightarrow\pi^+\bar{p}$.
