Precision studies of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix offer a very important testbed of the Standard Model (SM).In light of new inputs and measurements, in this proceeding we review the status of the Unitarity Triangle as a fundamental tool to uncover New Physics. We report the results of the latest SM global fits performed by the UTfit Collaboration including all the up-to-date experimental and theoretical inputs as for the Summer 2023 release.We also update the stringent constraints on New Physics from the generalized |ΔF|=2|ΔF|=2 effective Hamiltonian. Detailed detector simulation is the major consumer of CPU resources at LHCb, having used more than 90% of the total computing budget during Run 2 of the Large Hadron Collider at CERN. As data is collected by the upgraded LHCb detector during Run 3 of the LHC, larger requests for simulated data samples are necessary, and will far exceed the pledged resources of the experiment, even with existing fast simulation options. Observation of the B+J/ψηK+ decay / LHCb Collaboration
The B+J/ψηK+ decay is observed for the first time using proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13TeV, corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 9fb1. The branching fraction of this decay is measured relative to the known branching fraction of the B+ψ(2S)K+ decays and found to be B(B+J/ψηK+)B(B+ψ(2S)K+)=(4.91±0.47±0.29±0.07)×102, where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic and the third is related to external branching fractions. Observation of the B0sχc1(3872)π+π decay / LHCb Collaboration
The first observation of the B0s(χc1(3872)J/ψπ+π)π+π decay is reported using proton-proton collision data, corresponding to integrated luminosities of 1, 2 and 6fb1, collected by the LHCb experiment at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and 13TeV, respectively. The ratio of branching fractions relative to the B0s(ψ(2S)Jψπ+π)π+π decay is measured to be B(B0sχc1(3872)π+π)×B(χc1(3872)Jψπ+π)B(B0sψ(2S)π+π)×B(ψ(2S)Jψπ+π)=(6.8±1.1±0.2)×102, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic.
