On the enhanced E1 transitions in the K = 3/2 parity doublet band in$^{223}$Ra

We have applied the fast timing $ \beta\gamma\gamma (t)$ technique to remeasure lifetimes of selected states in$^{223}$Ra populated in the $ \beta^{-}$ decay of$^{223}$Fr. $ T_{1/2}=587(12)$ ps and 210(13)ps have been obtained for the $ 3/2^{-}$ and $ 5/2^{-}$ states at 50.1 and 79.7 keV, that are more accurate than the previous values of 630(70)ps and 166(55)ps, respectively. The WA97 experiment has measured the transverse mass (m sub T) spectra for negative hadrons (h sup -) and strange particles produced at mid-rapidity in Pb-Pb collisions. The increased statistics of analysed data samples allowed us to perform a study of the spectra of K sup 0 sub S , LAMBDA, XI, OMEGA and h sup - as a function of the centrality of the collisions. The nuclear structure of $^{229}$Th
/ ISOLDE Collaboration
The $\gamma$-rays following the $\beta\!^{-}$-decay of $^{229}$Ac have been investigated by means of $\gamma$-ray singles and $\gamma\gamma$-coincidence measurements using Ge detectors. Multipolarities of 40 transitions in $^{229}$Th have been established by measuring conversion electrons with a mini-orange electron spectrometer. [...]

Nuclear spectroscopy at $^{133}$Sn

It is described how the measurement of n gamma -coincidences can be used to identify single-particle states in /sup 133/Sn. This method, in combination with the improved yields at ISOLDE, has facilitated firm determination of three excited single-particle states in /sup 133/Sn: p/sub 3/2/, h/sub 9/2/ and f/sub 5/2/ The i/sub (13)/2/ state is not observed in this experiment and probably unbound, and the data did not allow a firm identification of the p/sub 1/2/ state.
