Update in the optics design of monochromatization interaction region for direct Higgs s-channel production at FCC-ee / Zhang, Zhandong (Beijing, Inst. High Energy Phys. ; IJCLab, Orsay ; Beijing, GUCAS) ; Faus-Golfe, Angeles (IJCLab, Orsay) ; Jiang, Hongping (Unlisted, CN) ; Bai, Bowen (Harbin Inst. Tech.) ; Raimondi, Pantaleo (Fermilab) ; Zimmermann, Frank (CERN) ; Oide, Katsunobu (U. Geneva (main) ; KEK, Tsukuba)
The FCC-ee could allow the measurement of the electron Yukawa coupling via direct Higgs s-channel production at ~125 GeV centre-of-mass (CM) energy, provided that the CM energy spread of this channel, can be reduced to about 5–10 MeV to be comparable to the width of the standard model Higgs boson. The natural collision-energy spread at 125 GeV, due only to synchrotron radiation (SR), is about 50 MeV. [...]

Selected advances in the accelerator design of the Future Circular Electron-Positron Collider (FCC-ee) / FCC Collaboration
In autumn 2023, the FCC Feasibility Study underwent a crucial “mid-term review”. We describe some accelerator performance risks for the proposed future circular electron-positron collider, FCC-ee, identified for, and during, the mid-term review. [...]

FCC-ee is a proposed lepton collider with a circumference close to 100 km to produce an unprecedented amount of luminosity. The FCC-ee optics tuning working group is addressing one of the most critical aspects of the FCC-ee, that is the recovery of the optics design performance in presence of realistic imperfections. Within the framework of the Future Circular Collider Feasibility and Design Study, the design of the electron-positron collider FCC-ee is being optimised, as a possible future double collider ring, currently foreseen to start operation during the 2040s. FCC-ee is designed to operate at four different energy stages, allowing for precision measurements: from the Z-pole up to above the ttbar-threshold. [...]

A special session at eeFACT’22 reviewed the electrical power budgets and luminosity risks for eight proposed future Higgs and electroweak factories (CCC, CEPC, CERC, CLIC, FCC-ee, HELEN, ILC, and RELIC) and, in comparison, for a lepton-hadron collider (EIC) presently under construction. We report highlights of presentations and discussions..

The Future Circular electron-positron Collider, FCC- ee, is designed for unprecedented precision for particle physics experiments from the Z-pole up to above the top-pair-threshold, corresponding to a beam energy range from 45.6 to 182.5 GeV. Performing collisions at various particle-physics resonances requires precise knowledge of the centre-of-mass energy (ECM) and collision boosts at all four interaction points. [...]
