Neutral current Drell-Yan (DY) lepton-pair production is considered in the framework of the Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT). Using the open-source fit platform xFitter, we investigate the impact of high-statistics measurements of the neutral current DY (NCDY) forward-backward asymmetry $A_{\rm{FB}}$ near the weak boson mass scale in the present and forthcoming stages of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). Heavy meson hadroproduction: open issues
/ Garzelli, Maria Vittoria (Florence U. ; INFN, Florence) ; Alekhin, Sergey (Hamburg U., Inst. Theor. Phys. II) ; Benzke, Michael (Hamburg U., Inst. Theor. Phys. II) ; Kniehl, Bernd (Hamburg U., Inst. Theor. Phys. II) ; Moch, Sven-Olaf (Hamburg U., Inst. Theor. Phys. II) ; Zenaiev, Oleksandr (CERN)
We discuss open issues in the description of single-inclusive open heavy-meson production in $pp$ and $pA$ collisions, considering different flavour-number schemes. Solving these issues is important for improving the accuracy of PDF fits and of predictions in high-energy astroparticle physics..

The impact of measurements of heavy-flavour production in deep inelastic $ep$ scattering and in $pp$ collisions on parton distribution functions is studied in a QCD analysis at next-to-leading order. Recent combined results of inclusive and heavy-flavour production cross sections in deep inelastic scattering at HERA are investigated together with heavy-flavour production measurements at the LHC. Running of the top quark mass from proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} =$ 13 TeV
/ CMS Collaboration
The running of the top quark mass is experimentally investigated for the first time. The mass of the top quark in the modified minimal subtraction (${\mathrm{\overline{MS}}} $) renormalization scheme is extracted from a comparison of the differential top quark-antiquark ($\mathrm{t\bar{t}}$) cross section as a function of the invariant mass of the $\mathrm{t\bar{t}}$ system to next-to-leading-order theoretical predictions.
