The $3 \times 1 \times 1$ m$^3$ demonstrator is a dual phase liquid argon time projection chamber that has recorded cosmic rays events in 2017 at CERN. The light signal in these detectors is crucial to provide precise timing capabilities. [...]

A pixelated charge readout for Liquid Argon Time Projection Chambers
/ Asaadi, J (Texas U., Arlington) ; Auger, M (U. Bern, AEC) ; Ereditato, A (U. Bern, AEC) ; Goeldi, D (U. Bern, AEC) ; Hänni, R (U. Bern, AEC) ; Kose, U (CERN) ; Kreslo, I (U. Bern, AEC) ; Lorca, D (U. Bern, AEC) ; Luethi, M (U. Bern, AEC) ; Rudolf von Rohr, C (U. Bern, AEC) et al.
Liquid Argon Time Projection Chambers (LArTPCs) are ideally suited to perform long-baseline neutrino experiments aiming to measure CP violation in the lepton sector, and determine the ordering of the three neutrino mass eigenstates. LArTPCs have used projective wire readouts for charge detection since their conception in 1977. [...]

A 4 tonne demonstrator for large-scale dual-phase liquid argon time projection chambers

A 10 kilo-tonne dual-phase liquid argon TPC is one of the detector options considered for the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE). The detector technology relies on amplification of the ionisation charge in ultra-pure argon vapour and oers several advantages compared to the traditional single-phase liquid argon TPCs. [...]

RF power source for the compact linear collider test facility (CTF3)
/ McMonagle, G ; Bartholome, B ; Brown, Peter ; Carron, G ; Hanni, R ; Mourier, J ; Rossat, G ; Syratchev, I V ; Tanner, L ; Thorndahl, L
The CERN CTF3 facility will test and demonstrate many vital components of CLIC (Compact Linear Collider). This paper describes the pulsed RF power source at 2998.55 MHz for the drive-beam accelerator (DBA), which produces a beam with an energy of 150 MeV and a current of 3.5 Amps. [...]

Industrial Production of the eight normal-conducting 200 MHz ACN cavities for the LHC
/ Chiaveri, Enrico ; Hanni, R ; Linnecar, Trevor Paul R ; Losito, R ; Marque, S ; Tückmantel, Joachim
The LHC-ACN RF system consists of 8 normalconducting cavities and is designed to reduce beam losses in the LHC when injecting beams with longitudinal emittance > 0.7 eVs from the CERN SPS. The cavity design took into account the possibility of recuperating all the "ancillary" equipment (tuners, fundamental mode damper, High Order Mode (HOM) couplers) from the old CERN SPS 200MHz system. [...]

Technical Developments on Reduced $\beta$ Superconducting Cavities at CERN
/ Aberle, O ; Boussard, Daniel ; Calatroni, Sergio ; Chiaveri, Enrico ; Häbel, E ; Hanni, R ; Losito, R ; Marque, S ; Tückmantel, Joachim
Several authors proposed the construction of superconducting proton linacs using the LEP2 cavities once LEP will be decommissioned. However only a fraction (about half) of these cavities can be used as they are for the high-energy part (b~1) of such a linac, the low energy part requiring the development of accelerating structures optimized for lower values of the particle velocity.
