TALOS (Total Automation of LabVIEW Operations for Science): A framework for autonomous control systems for complex experiments
/ Volponi, M. (CERN ; Trento U. ; INFN, Trento) ; Zielinski, J. (Warsaw U. of Tech.) ; Rauschendorfer, T. (CERN ; Leipzig U.) ; Huck, S. (CERN ; Hamburg U.) ; Caravita, R. Modern physics experiments are frequently very complex, relying on multiple simultaneous events to happen in order to obtain the desired result. The experiment control system plays a central role in orchestrating the measurement setup: However, its development is often treated as secondary with respect to the hardware, its importance becoming evident only during the operational phase. Low-Energy Negative Ion Injection Beamline for Experiments with Antiprotonic Atoms at AEgIS
/ Rodin, Volodymyr (U. Liverpool (main) ; Cockcroft Inst. Accel. Sci. Tech.) ; Cerchiari, Giovanni (Innsbruck U.) ; Doser, Michael (CERN) ; Farricker, Aaron (U. Interaction of low-energy antiprotons with nuclear targets provided fundamental knowledge about proton and neutron densities of many nuclei through the capture process, cascade on lower electron orbits, and annihilation with the nucleon. The expelled electrons produce X-rays and with the recoil particles after annihilation, thus, a sufficient amount of information can be obtained about this interaction. [...]

The validity of the Weak Equivalence Principle (WEP) as predicted by General Relativity has been tested up to astounding precision using ordinary matter. The lack hitherto of a stable source of a probe being at the same time electrically neutral, cold and stable enough to be measured has prevented highaccuracy testing of the WEP on anti-matter. [...]

Forming a pulsed beam of cold antihydrogen using charge-exchange with Rydberg positronium (Ps) is the goal of the AEḡIS collaboration, which aims to a first gravity measurement on neutral antimatter. Recently achieved results in Ps formation and laser spectroscopy in the main AEḡIS apparatus are summarized. [...]

Subatomare Phys.) ; Antonello, Massimiliano (INFN, Milan ; Insubria U., Como) ; Belov, Alexander (Moscow, INR) ; Bonomi, Germano (INFM, Brescia ; INFN, Pavia) ; Brusa, Roberto (Trento U. ; TIFPA-INFN, Trento) ; Caccia, Massimo (INFN, Milan ; Insubria U., Como) ; Caravita, Ruggero (CERN) ; Castelli, Fabrizio (INFN, Milan ; Milan U.) et al.
We report on recent developments in positronium work in the frame of antihydrogen production through charge exchange in the AEgIS collaboration [1]. In particular, we present a new technique based on spatially imaging a cloud of positronium by collecting the positrons emitted by photoionization. [...]

In this work, we show recent measurements of 23S long-lived positronium production via spontaneous decay from the 3 3P level. The possibility to tune the velocity of the 23S positronium, excited following this scheme, is presented [...]
