New developments in MadAnalysis 5 / Araz, Jack Y. (speaker) (IPPP - Durham University)
MadAnalysis 5 is a framework for phenomenological investigations at particle colliders. Based on a C++ kernel, this program allows to efficiently perform, in a straightforward and user-friendly fashion, sophisticated physics analyses of event files such as those generated by a large class of Monte Carlo (MC) event generators. Implementation of the ATLAS-SUSY-2018-32 analysis (sleptons and electroweakinos with two leptons and missing transverse energy; 139 fb$^{−1}$) / Araz, Jack Y (Durham U., IPPP) ; Fuks, Benjamin (Paris, LPTHE ; Inst. U. de France)
We present the implementation in MadAnalysis 5 of the ATLAS-SUSY-2018-32 search for new physics and document the validation of this re-implementation. This analysis targets, with 139 fb−1 of proton–proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV recorded by the ATLAS detector, the electroweak pair production of supersymmetric charginos and sleptons when they further decay into a final state comprising a pair of leptons and missing energy. [...]

Implementation of the ATLAS-SUSY-2018-31 analysis in the MadAnalysis 5 framework (sbottoms with multi-bottoms and missing transverse energy; 139 fb$^{−1}$) / Araz, Jack Y (Durham U., IPPP) ; Fuks, Benjamin (Paris, LPTHE ; Inst. U. de France)
We present the implementation, in the MadAnalysis 5 framework, of the ATLAS-SUSY-2018-31 search for new physics, and document the validation of this implementation. This analysis targets, with 139 fb−1 of proton–proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV recorded by the ATLAS detector between 2015 and 2018, the production of a pair of supersymmetric bottom squarks when they further decay through a cascade decay involving the second lightest neutralino and a Standard Model Higgs boson. Precision SMEFT bounds from the VBF Higgs at high transverse momentum / Araz, Jack Y. (Durham U., IPPP) ; Banerjee, Shankha (CERN) ; Gupta, Rick S. (Durham U., IPPP) ; Spannowsky, Michael (Durham U., IPPP)
We study the production of Higgs bosons at high transverse momenta via vector-boson fusion (VBF) in the Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT). We find that contributions from four independent operator combinations dominate in this limit. [...]

We report on the status of efforts to improve the reinterpretation of searches and measurements at the LHC in terms of models for new physics, in the context of the LHC Reinterpretation Forum. We detail current experimental offerings in direct searches for new particles, measurements, technical implementations and Open Data, and provide a set of recommendations for further improving the presentation of LHC results in order to better enable reinterpretation in the future. Report from Working Group 3 : Beyond the Standard Model physics at the HL-LHC and HE-LHC / Cid Vidal, Xabier (Santiago de Compostela U., IGFAE) ; D'Onofrio, Monica (Liverpool U.) ; Fox, Patrick J (Fermilab) ; Torre, Riccardo (CERN ; INFN, Genoa) ; Ulmer, Keith A (Colorado U.) ; Aboubrahim, Amin (Northeastern U.) ; Albert, Andreas (RWTH Aachen U.) ; Alimena, Juliette (Ohio State U., Columbus (main)) ; Allanach, Benjamin C (Cambridge U., DAMTP) ; Alpigiani, Cristiano (Washington U., Seattle) et al.
This is the third out of five chapters of the final report [1] of the Workshop on Physics at HL-LHC, and perspectives on HE-LHC [2]. It is devoted to the study of the potential, in the search for Beyond the Standard Model (BSM) physics, of the High Luminosity (HL) phase of the LHC, defined as $3$ ab$^{-1}$ of data taken at a centre-of-mass energy of 14 TeV, and of a possible future upgrade, the High Energy (HE) LHC, defined as $15$ ab$^{-1}$ of data at a centre-of-mass energy of 27 TeV.
