An Experiment for Electron-Hadron Scattering at the LHC
/ André, K.D. J. (CERN ; Liverpool U.) ; Aperio Bella, L. (DESY) ; Armesto, N. (Santiago de Compostela U., IGFAE) ; Bogacz, S.A. (Jefferson Lab) ; Britzger, D. (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Brüning, O.S. (CERN) ; D'Onofrio, M. (Liverpool U.) ; Ferreiro, E.G. (Santiago de Compostela U., IGFAE) ; Fischer, O. (Liverpool U.) ; Gwenlan, C. (Oxford U.) et al.
Novel considerations are presented on the physics, apparatus and accelerator designs for a future, luminous, energy frontier electron-hadron ($eh$) scattering experiment at the LHC in the thirties for which key physics topics and their relation to the hadron-hadron HL-LHC physics programme are discussed. Demands are derived set by these physics topics on the design of the LHeC detector, a corresponding update of which is described. [...]

Beyond Standard Model Physics at the LHeC and the FCC-eh
/ Azuelos, Georges (TRIUMF ; Montreal U.) ; D'Onofrio, Monica (Liverpool U.) ; Fischer, Oliver (Liverpool U., Dept. Math.)
/LHeC/FCC-eh Study Group Collaboration
Thanks to the low background, negligible pileup and generally clean environement at ep colliders, a rich program of physics beyond the Standard Model (BSM) can be explored with precision measurements, complementing searches at LHC and future pp colliders. We review some recent studies aimed at evaluating the reach and sensitivity of the next generation ep colliders, the LHeC and FCC-eh, in probing a few BSM models, in particular compressed scenarios of supersymmetry, long-lived particles and dark sector, charged Higgs and leptoquarks..

The field of particle physics is at the crossroads. The discovery of a Higgs-like boson completed the Standard Model (SM), but the lacking observation of convincing resonances Beyond the SM (BSM) offers no guidance for the future of particle physics. [...]

In the last decades, the Standard Model (SM) of particle physics has been extensively tested and confirmed, with the announced discovery of the Higgs boson in 2012 being the last missing puzzle piece. Even though since then the search for new particles and interactions has been further intensified, the experiments ATLAS and CMS at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN did not find evidence for the direct production of a new state. Sterile neutrino searches via displaced vertices at LHCb
/ Antusch, Stefan (Basel U. ; Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Cazzato, Eros (Basel U.) ; Fischer, Oliver (Basel U.)
We explore the sensitivity of displaced vertex searches at LHCb for testing sterile neutrino extensions of the Standard Model towards explaining the observed neutrino masses. We derive estimates for the constraints on sterile neutrino parameters from a recently published displaced vertex search at LHCb based on run 1 data. [...]
