Astron.) ; Hilaire, S (CEA DAM) ; Péru, S (CEA DAM) ; Goriely, S (Brussels U., IAA) ; Al Monthery, M (York U., England) ; Althubiti, N A (Manchester U. ; Al Jouf U. ; Ain Shames U.) ; Andel, B (Comenius U.) et al.
The changes in mean-squared charge radii of neutron-deficient gold nuclei have been determined using the in-source, resonance-ionization laser spectroscopy technique, at the ISOLDE facility (CERN). From these new data, nuclear deformations are inferred, revealing a competition between deformed and spherical configurations. [...]

/ Venhart, M (Bratislava, Inst. Phys.) ; Andreyev, A N (JAERI, Tokai ; York U., England) ; Cubiss, J G (York U., England) ; Wood, J L (Georgia Tech., Atlanta) ; Barzakh, A E (St. Petersburg, INP) ; Van Beveren, C (Leuven U.) ; Cocolios, T E (Leuven U.) ; de Groote, R P (Leuven U.) ; Fedorov, D V (St. Petersburg, INP) ; Fedosseev, V N (CERN) et al.
The internal transition decay and α decay of the $T_{1/2} = 53.3$ ms, $9/2^-$ isomeric state in the neutron-deficient isotope, $^{183}$Tl, have been studied using the Resonance Ionization Laser Ion Source and the Windmill detection setup at the ISOLDE facility at CERN. Clean samples of $^{183}$Tl were produced by selective laser ionization and subsequent mass separation. [...]

Laser-assisted nuclear decay spectroscopy of $^{176,177,179}$Au
/ Harding, R D (York U., England ; CERN) ; Andreyev, A N (York U., England ; JAERI, Tokai) ; Barzakh, A E (St. Petersburg, INP) ; Cubiss, J G (York U., England) ; Van Duppen, P (Leuven U.) ; Al Monthery, M (York U., England) ; Althubiti, N A (Manchester U.) ; Andel, B (Leuven U. ; Comenius U.) ; Antalic, S (Comenius U.) ; Cocolios, T E (Leuven U. ; Manchester U.) et al.
A study of the laser-ionized and mass-separated neutron-deficient isotopes $^{176,177,179}$Au was performed using the Resonance Ionization Laser Ion Source and the Windmill detection setup at ISOLDE, CERN. New and improved data on complex fine-structure α decays of the three isotopes were deduced, providing insight into the low-lying levels in the daughter nuclei $^{172,173,175}$Ir. [...]

/ Cubiss, J G ; Andreyev, A N ; Barzakh, A E ; Manea, V ; Al Monthery, M ; Althubiti, N A ; Andel, B ; Antalic, S ; Atanasov, D ; Blaum, K et al.
A comprehensive study of the isotope $^{178}$ Au has been made at the CERN-ISOLDE facility, using resonance laser ionization. Two long-lived states in $^{178}$ Au were identified—a low-spin ground state and a high-spin isomer—each of which were produced as pure beams. [...]

A study of the ground states of the laser-ionized and mass-separated odd-odd isotopes $^{180,182}$Au was performed using the Resonance Ionization Laser Ion Source, Windmill detection setup and ISOLTRAP Multi-Reflection Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometer at ISOLDE, CERN. A complex fine-structure α-decay pattern of $^{180}$Au was deduced, providing insight into the low-lying levels in the daughter nucleus $^{176}Ir$. [...]

Hyperfine-structure parameters and isotope shift of the 9/2$^−$ isomeric state in $^{187}$Au relative to $^{197}$Au for the 267.6-nm atomic transition have been measured for the first time using the in-source resonance-ionization spectroscopy technique. The magnetic dipole moment and change in the mean-square charge radius for this 9/2$^−$ isomer have been deduced. [...]
