Snowmass2021 Cosmic Frontier White Paper: Puzzling Excesses in Dark Matter Searches and How to Resolve Them / Leane, Rebecca K. (SLAC ; KIPAC, Menlo Park) ; Shin, Seodong (Jeonbuk Natl. U.) ; Yang, Liang (UC, San Diego) ; Adhikari, Govinda (UC, San Diego) ; Alhazmi, Haider (Jazan U.) ; Aramaki, Tsuguo (Northeastern U.) ; Baxter, Daniel (Fermilab) ; Calore, Francesca (Annecy, LAPTH) ; Caputo, Regina (NASA, Goddard) ; Cholis, Ilias (Oakland U.) et al.
Intriguing signals with excesses over expected backgrounds have been observed in many astrophysical and terrestrial settings, which could potentially have a dark matter origin. [...]

Fermi Large Area Telescope as a dark matter search tool / Zaharijas, Gabrijela (ICTP, Trieste ; INFN, Trieste) ; Morselli, Aldo (INFN, Rome2) ; Nuss, Eric (U. Montpellier 2, LUPM)
Since its launch five years ago, the Large Area Telescope, onboard of the Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope, has detected the largest amount of gamma rays in the 20 MeV - ≥ 300 GeV energy range (nicely covering electro weak scale) with good angular resolution and good rejection power of more numerous charged cosmic rays. These impressive performance allows to attempt to learn about New Physics with astronomical and astro-particle data. [...]

Bremsstrahlung gamma rays from light Dark Matter / Cirelli, Marco (IPhT, Saclay) ; Serpico, Pasquale D. (Annecy, LAPTH) ; Zaharijas, Gabrijela (ICTP, Trieste)
We discuss the often-neglected role of bremsstrahlung processes on the interstellar gas in computing indirect signatures of Dark Matter (DM) annihilation in the Galaxy, particularly for light DM candidates in the phenomenologically interesting O(10) GeV mass range. Especially from directions close to the Galactic Plane, the expected gamma-ray spectrum is altered via two effects: directly, by the photons emitted in the bremsstrahlung process on the interstellar gas by energetic electrons which are among the DM annihilation byproducts; indirectly, by the modification of the same electron spectrum, due to the additional energy loss process in the diffusion-loss equation (e.g. [...]

Consequences of DM/antiDM Oscillations for Asymmetric WIMP Dark Matter / Cirelli, Marco (CERN ; Saclay, SPhT) ; Panci, Paolo (CERN ; L'Aquila U. ; Gran Sasso ; Paris U., VI-VII) ; Servant, Geraldine (CERN ; Saclay, SPhT) ; Zaharijas, Gabrijela (Saclay, SPhT ; Paris, Inst. Astrophys.)
Assuming the existence of a primordial asymmetry in the dark sector, a scenario usually dubbed Asymmetric Dark Matter (aDM), we study the effect of oscillations between dark matter and its antiparticle on the re-equilibration of the initial asymmetry before freeze-out, which enable efficient annihilations to recouple. We calculate the evolution of the DM relic abundance and show how oscillations re-open the parameter space of aDM models, in particular in the direction of allowing large (WIMP-scale) DM masses.
