Filtered Baryogenesis / Baker, Michael J. (Melbourne U.) ; Breitbach, Moritz (U. Mainz, PRISMA) ; Kopp, Joachim (CERN ; U. Mainz, PRISMA) ; Mittnacht, Lukas (U. Mainz, PRISMA) ; Soreq, Yotam (Technion)
We propose a new mechanism to simultaneously explain the observed dark matter abundance and the baryon asymmetry of the Universe. The mechanism is based on the Filtered Dark Matter scenario, where dark matter particles acquire a large mass during a first-order phase transition. [...]

Detailed Calculation of Primordial Black Hole Formation During First-Order Cosmological Phase Transitions / Baker, Michael J. (Melbourne U.) ; Breitbach, Moritz (Mainz U., Inst. Phys. ; U. Mainz, PRISMA) ; Kopp, Joachim (Mainz U., Inst. Phys. ; U. Mainz, PRISMA ; CERN) ; Mittnacht, Lukas (Mainz U., Inst. Phys. ; U. Mainz, PRISMA)
We recently presented a new mechanism for primordial black hole formation during a first-order phase transition in the early Universe, which relies on the build-up of particles which are predominantly reflected from the advancing bubble wall. [...]

We report on the status of efforts to improve the reinterpretation of searches and measurements at the LHC in terms of models for new physics, in the context of the LHC Reinterpretation Forum. We detail current experimental offerings in direct searches for new particles, measurements, technical implementations and Open Data, and provide a set of recommendations for further improving the presentation of LHC results in order to better enable reinterpretation in the future. Filtered Dark Matter at a First Order Phase Transition / Baker, Michael J. (Melbourne U. ; Zurich U.) ; Kopp, Joachim (CERN ; U. Mainz, PRISMA) ; Long, Andrew J. (Rice U.)
We describe a new mechanism of dark matter production in the early Universe, based on the dynamics of a first order phase transition. We assume that dark matter particles acquire mass during the phase transition, making it energetically unfavourable for them to enter the expanding bubbles of the massive phase. [...]

This is the third out of five chapters of the final report [1] of the Workshop on Physics at HL-LHC, and perspectives on HE-LHC [2]. It is devoted to the study of the potential, in the search for Beyond the Standard Model (BSM) physics, of the High Luminosity (HL) phase of the LHC, defined as $3$ ab$^{-1}$ of data taken at a centre-of-mass energy of 14 TeV, and of a possible future upgrade, the High Energy (HE) LHC, defined as $15$ ab$^{-1}$ of data at a centre-of-mass energy of 27 TeV. Leptonic WIMP Coannihilation and the Current Dark Matter Search Strategy / Baker, Michael J. (Zurich U.) ; Thamm, Andrea (CERN)
We discuss the extent to which models of Weakly Interacting Massive Particle (WIMP) Dark Matter (DM) at and above the electroweak scale can be probed conclusively in future high energy and astroparticle physics experiments. We consider simplified models with bino-like dark matter and slepton-like coannihilation partners, and find that perturbative models yield the observed relic abundance up to at least 10 TeV. [...]

Light Resonances and the Low-$q^2$ Bin of $R_{K^*}$ / Altmannshofer, Wolfgang (Cincinnati U.) ; Baker, Michael J. Phys. ; Victoria U.) ; Stamou, Emmanuel (Chicago U., EFI) ; Thamm, Andrea (CERN)
LHCb has reported hints of lepton-flavor universality violation in the rare decays $B \to K^{(*)} \ell^+\ell^-$, both in high- and low-$q^2$ bins. Although the high-$q^2$ hint may be explained by new short-ranged interactions, the low-$q^2$ one cannot. [...]
