Ultrafast radiographic imaging and tracking (U-RadIT) use state-of-the-art ionizing particle and light sources to experimentally study sub-nanosecond dynamic processes in physics, chemistry, biology, geology, materials science and other fields. These processes, fundamental to nuclear fusion energy, advanced manufacturing, green transportation and others, often involve one mole or more atoms, and thus are challenging to compute by using the first principles of quantum physics or other forward models. The Bi-2212 microstructure and porosity distribution in entire state-of-the-art multifilament wires was characterized by high-energy synchrotron X-ray absorption microtomography after meltprocessing at ambient pressure, at 100 bar overpressure, and at ambient pressure after prior cold isostatic pressing of initially identical as-drawn wires. Beyond the visualization of the Bi-2212 microstructure, the porosity distribution in the different filament bundles has been quantified. [...]
