/ Fraser, Matthew (CERN) ; Bernardes, Ana (CERN) ; Newborough, Antony (CERN) ; del Alamo, Daniel (CERN) ; Grenier-Boley, Edouard (CERN) ; Pozzi, Fabio (CERN) ; Di Giovanni, Gian Piero (CERN) ; Corso, Jean-Pierre (CERN) ; Vollaire, Joachim (CERN) ; Ferreira Somoza, Jose (CERN) et al.
Following the successful completion of the LHC Injectors Upgrade (LIU) project, since 2021 the Proton Synchrotron (PS) Booster has served the LHC injector chain with protons at an increased kinetic energy of 2 GeV. An upgrade of the ISOLDE (Isotope Separator On-Line DEvice) facility has long been considered to produce radioactive ion beams with a higher energy proton driver beam. [...]

Within the LHC Injectors Upgrade (LIU) project, LHC injectors received major upgrades that resulted in an unprecedented beam brightness. In the framework of the Physics Beyond Colliders (PBC) study, the full potential of the upgraded injectors is being explored for the improvement of the Fixed Target (FT) beams as well. [...]

Pushing High Intensity and High Brightness Limits in the CERN PSB after the LIU Upgrades
/ Asvesta, Foteini (CERN) ; Albright, Simon (CERN) ; Bartosik, Hannes (CERN) ; Bracco, Chiara (CERN) ; Di Giovanni, Gian Piero (CERN) ; Prebibaj, Tirsi (CERN)
After the successful completion of the LHC Injectors Upgrade (LIU) project, the CERN Proton Synchrotron Booster (PSB) has produced beams with up to two times higher brightness. However, the efforts to continuously improve the beam quality for the CERN physics experiments are ongoing. [...]

Shaping High Brightness and Fixed Target Beams with the CERN PSB Charge Exchange Injection
/ Bracco, Chiara (CERN) ; Albright, Simon (CERN) ; Asvesta, Foteini (CERN) ; Di Giovanni, Gian Piero (CERN) ; Roncarolo, Federico (CERN)
CERN adopted the charge exchange injection technique for the first time in the PS Booster after Long Shutdown 2. This allowed to overcome space charge limitations, tailor high brightness beams for the LHC and deliver high intensity flux of protons to the fixed target experiments. [...]
