Other Science Opportunities at the FCC-ee / Agapov, Ilya (Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DE)) ; Alp, Esen Ercan (Argonne National Laboratory (USA)) ; Andre, Kevin (CERN) ; Antipov, Sergey (Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DE)) ; Apyan, Armen (A.I.Alikhanyan National Laboratory (Armenia)) ; Arduini, Gianluigi (CERN) ; Bandiera, Laura (Universita e INFN, Ferrara (IT)) ; Bartmann, Wolfgang (CERN) ; Bartosik, Hannes (CERN) ; Benedikt, Michael (CERN) et al.
The Future Circular Collider (FCC) ‘integrated programme’ consists of an initial electron-positron collider FCC-ee, which is later followed by a proton-proton collider, FCC-hh, installed in the same 91 km circumference tunnel close to CERN. Over a span of 15 years, from the mid or late 2040s through the early 2060s, the FCC-ee shall operate at centre-of-mass energies between about 90 and 365 GeV, always delivering the highest possible luminosities to four experiments, in a sustainable and energy-efficient way. Electron Cloud at Low Emittance in CesrTA / Palmer, Mark (Cornell U., CLASSE) ; Alexander, James (Cornell U., CLASSE) ; Billing, Michael (Cornell U., CLASSE) ; Calvey, Joseph (Cornell U., CLASSE) ; Conolly, Christopher (Cornell U., CLASSE) ; Crittenden, James (Cornell U., CLASSE) ; Dobbins, John (Cornell U., CLASSE) ; Dugan, Gerald (Cornell U., CLASSE) ; Eggert, Nicholas (Cornell U., CLASSE) ; Fontes, Ernest (Cornell U., CLASSE) et al.
The Cornell Electron Storage Ring (CESR) has been reconfigured as a test accelerator (CesrTA) for a program of electron cloud (EC) research at ultra low emittance. The instrumentation in the ring has been upgraded with local diagnostics for measurement of cloud density and with improved beam diagnostics for the characterization of both the low emittance performance and the beam dynamics of high intensity bunch trains interacting with the cloud [...]

SPS Ecloud Instabilities - Analysis of machine studies and implications for Ecloud Feedback / Fox, JD (SLAC) ; Bullitt, A (SLAC) ; Mastorides, T (SLAC) ; Ndabashimiye, G (SLAC) ; Rivetta, C (SLAC) ; Turgut, O (SLAC) ; Van Winkle, D (SLAC) ; Byrd, J (LBL, Berkeley) ; Furman, M (LBL, Berkeley) ; Vay, JL (LBL, Berkeley) et al.
The SPS at high intensities exhibits transverse singlebunch instabilities with signatures consistent with an Ecloud driven instability.[1] We present recent MD data from the SPS, details of the instrument technique and spectral analysis methods which help reveal complex vertical motion that develops within a subset of the injected bunch trains. The beam motion is detected via wideband exponential taper striplines and delta-sigma hybrids. [...]

Simulation of E-Cloud driven instability and its attenuation using a feedback system in the CERN SPS / Vay, JL (LBL, Berkeley) ; Byrd, J (LBL, Berkeley) ; Furman, M (LBL, Berkeley) ; Secondo, R (LBL, Berkeley) ; Venturini, M (LBL, Berkeley) ; Fox, J (SLAC) ; Rivetta, C (SLAC) ; Hofle, W (CERN)
Electron clouds have been shown to trigger fast growing instabilities on proton beams circulating in the SPS [1], and a feedback system to control the instabilities is under active development [2]. We present the latest improvements to the Warp-Posinst simulation framework and feedback model, and its application to the self-consistent simulations of two consecutive bunches interacting with an electron cloud in the SPS..

Feedback Techniques and SPS Ecloud Instabilities - Design Estimates / Fox, J D (SLAC) ; Mastorides, T (SLAC) ; Ndabashimiye, G (SLAC) ; Rivetta, C H (SLAC) ; Van Winkle, D (SLAC) ; Xu, J (SLAC) ; Byrd, J M (LBNL) ; Vay, J L (BNL) ; Höfle, Wolfgang (CERN) ; Rumolo, G (CERN) et al.
The SPS at high intensities exhibits transverse single-bunch instabilities with signatures consistent with an Ecloud driven instability. While the SPS has a coupled-bunch transverse feedback system, control of Ecloud-driven motion requires a much wider control bandwidth capable of sensing and controlling motion within each bunched beam. [...]
