Beam tests of ATLAS SCT silicon strip detector modules
/ Campabadal, F ; Fleta, C ; Key, M ; Lozano, M ; Martínez, C ; Pellegrini, G ; Rafí, J M ; Ullán, M ; Johansen, L ; Pommeresche, B et al.
The design and technology of the silicon strip detector modules for the Semiconductor Tracker (SCT) of the ATLAS experiment have been finalised in the last several years. Integral to this process has been the measurement and verification of the tracking performance of the different module types in test beams at the CERN SPS and the KEK PS. [...]

Design and development of a work robot to place ATLAS SCT modules onto barrel cylinders
/ Terada, S ; Hara, K ; Honma, F ; Ikegami, Y ; Iwata, Y ; Kato, Y ; Kobayashi, H ; Kohriki, T ; Kondo, T ; Nakano, I et al.
More than 2000 silicon modules need to be placed and fastened on the ATLAS SCT barrel tracker. A semi-automatic pick-and-place work robot was designed and developed to cope with the module placement for the SCT barrel assembly. [...]

Application of Cu-polyimide flex circuit and Al-on-glass pitch adapter for the ATLAS SCT barrel hybrid
/ Unno, Y ; Hara, K ; Ikegami, Y ; Iwata, Y ; Kohriki, T ; Kondo, T ; Nakano, I ; Ohsugi, T ; Takashima, R ; Tanaka, R et al.
We applied the surface build-up Cu-polyimide flex-circuit technology with laser vias to the ATLAS SCT barrel hybrid to be made in one piece from the connector to the electronics sections including cables. The hybrids, reinforced with carbon-carbon substrates, provide mechanical strength, thermal conductivity, low-radiation length, and stability in application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) operation. Beam study of irradiated ATLAS-SCT prototypes
/ Akimoto, T ; Bernabeu, J ; Eklund, L ; García, J E ; Hara, K ; Ikegami, Y ; Iwata, Y ; Kato, Y ; Ketterer, C ; Kobayashi, H et al.
Prototypes of ATLAS-SCT modules with ABCD readout chips were tested in a 4 GeV/c pion beam at KEK's proton synchrotron. Of both SCT module geometries - barrel and forward - three identical modules were placed in the beam. [...]

/ Unno, Y ; Akimoto, T ; Bernabeu, J ; Dolezal, Z ; Eklund, L ; Hara, K ; Hashizaki, T ; Ikegami, Y ; Iwata, Y ; Kato, Y et al.
Nonirradiated and irradiated ATLAS silicon microstrip barrel and endcap modules have been beamtested with 4-GeV/c pions. Pulse shapes confirmed the peaking time of the amplifier to be 22 ns with slight deterioration in the irradiated modules. [...]

/ Akimoto, T ; Arai, S ; Hara, K ; Nakayama, T ; Ikegami, Y ; Iwata, Y ; Kobayashi, H ; Kohriki, T ; Kondo, T ; Nakano, I et al.
In a program of developing radiation-hard silicon sensors for the LHC-ATLAS experiment, we have irradiated various types of silicon sensors with 12 CeV protons at KEK. Among the other properties, we made a comparative study of characteristics of the sensors with two wafer planes <111> and <100>. [...]
