In‐Source High‐Resolution Spectroscopy Using an Integrated Tunable Raman Laser / Granados, Eduardo (CERN) ; Stoikos, Georgios (CERN) ; Bernerd, Cyril (CERN) ; Chrysalidis, Katerina (CERN) ; Echarri, Daniel T (CERN) ; Fedosseev, Valentin N (CERN) ; Heinke, Reinhard (CERN) ; Marsh, Bruce A (CERN)
Tunable single-frequency lasers are the most prominent tool for high-resolution spectroscopy, allowing for the study and exploitation of the electronic structure of atoms. A significant milestone relies on the demonstration of integrated laser technology for performing such a task. [...]

Spectral purification of single-frequency Stokes pulses in doubly resonant integrated diamond resonators / Granados, Eduardo (CERN) ; Stoikos, Georgios (CERN) ; Stoikos, Georgios (Natl. Tech. U., Athens)
Pulsed spectrally pure light is required for applications in high-resolution spectroscopy, optical coherent communications, and quantum technologies. In this work, we report on the efficient generation of high peak power, single-frequency, and tunable nanosecond pulses utilizing stimulated scattering, with an increased spectral brightness by exploiting double resonances in an integrated diamond Raman resonator. The influence of phonon harmonicity on spectrally pure resonant Stokes fields / Stoikos, Georgios (CERN) ; Granados, Eduardo (CERN)
Thanks to their highly coherent emission and compact form factor, single axial mode diamond Raman lasers have been identified as a valuable asset for applications including integrated quantum technology, high resolution spectroscopy or coherent optical communications. While the fundamental emission linewidth of these lasers can be Fourier limited, their thermo-optic characteristics lead to drifts in their carrier frequency, posing important challenges for applications requiring ultra-stable emission.
