Universality of multiparticle production in QCD at high energies / Dominguez, Fabio (Saclay, SPhT) ; Marquet, Cyrille (CERN ; Santiago de Compostela U. ; Santiago de Compostela U., IGFAE) ; Stasto, Anna M. (Penn State U. ; RIKEN BNL ; Cracow, INP) ; Xiao, Bo-Wen (Hua-Zhong Normal U. ; Penn State U.)
By studying the color structure of multi-particle production processes in p+A-type (dilute-dense) collisions, we find that higher-point functions beyond typical dipoles and quadrupoles, e.g., sextupoles, octupoles, etc., naturally appear in the cross sections, but are explicitly suppressed in the large-N_c limit. We evaluate the sextupole in the McLerran-Venugopalan model and find that, in general, its analytical form cannot be written as combination of dipoles and quadrupoles. [...]

A Large Hadron Electron Collider at CERN: Report on the Physics and Design Concepts for Machine and Detector / Abelleira Fernandez, J.L. (Ecole Polytechnique, Lausanne ; CERN) ; Adolphsen, C. The physics programme and the design are described of a new collider for particle and nuclear physics, the Large Hadron Electron Collider (LHeC), in which a newly built electron beam of 60 GeV, up to possibly 140 GeV, energy collides with the intense hadron beams of the LHC. Compared to HERA, the kinematic range covered is extended by a factor of twenty in the negative four-momentum squared, $Q^2$, and in the inverse Bjorken $x$, while with the design luminosity of $10^{33}$ cm$^{-2}$s$^{-1}$ the LHeC is projected to exceed the integrated HERA luminosity by two orders of magnitude. A matrix formulation for small-x singlet evolution / Ciafaloni, M. (CERN) ; Colferai, D. (Florence U. ; INFN, Florence) ; Salam, G.P. (Paris, LPTHE) ; Stasto, A.M. (Penn State U. ; Cracow, INP)
We propose a matrix evolution equation in (x,kt)-space for flavour singlet, unintegrated quark and gluon densities, which generalizes DGLAP and BFKL equations in the relevant limits. The matrix evolution kernel is constructed so as to satisfy renormalization group constraints in both the ordered and antiordered regions of exchanged momenta kt, and incorporates the known NLO anomalous dimensions in the MSbar scheme as well as the NLx BFKL kernel.
