A study of radiation effects on LuAG:Ce(Pr) co-activated with Ca / Petrosyan, A G (Ashtarak, IPR) ; Ovanesyan, K L (Ashtarak, IPR) ; Derdzyan, M V (Ashtarak, IPR) ; Ghambaryan, I (Ashtarak, IPR) ; Patton, G (Lyon, LPCML) ; Moretti, F (Lyon, LPCML) ; Auffray, E (CERN) ; Lecoq, P (CERN) ; Lucchini, M (CERN) ; Pauwels, K (CERN) et al.
Single crystals of LuAG:Ce co-doped with Ca2+ were grown by the vertical Bridgman method and studied for optical properties, γ-irradiation induced absorption, scintillation light yield and decay. It is shown that addition of Ca2+ may efficiently limit the radiation induced absorption associated with presence of trace amounts of Yb. [...]

Interstitial Li$^+$ Controls the UV Transmission and the Radiation Hardness in YAG / Derdzyan, Marina V (NAS Armenia, Yerevan) ; Hovhannesyan, Karine L (NAS Armenia, Yerevan) ; Novikov, Artur (NAS Armenia, Yerevan) ; Auffray, Etiennette (CERN) ; Petrosyan, Ashot G (NAS Armenia, Yerevan) ; Dujardin, Christophe (ILM, Lyon)
Optical absorption spectra measured in as-grown and gamma-ray irradiatedun-doped YAG, Li-doped YAG, and Ca-doped YAG single crystals arecompared for characterization of effects introduced by impurities. The studiesare conducted on single crystals grown by the vertical Bridgman method.Basing on the Li$^+$ incorporation mechanism, clarification is done regardingthe optimal amounts of Li$^+$ for preparation of YAG:Li crystals with lowconcentration of anion vacancies and related defects giving rise to absorptionin the UV range. Influence of transverse segmentation of back hadronic calorimeter of CMS detector (LHC) on identification of tagging jets in VBF $H \to \tau^− \tau^+$ process / Sirunyan, A M (Yerevan Phys. Inst.) ; Tumasyan, A R (Yerevan Phys. Inst.) ; Khachatryan, V A (Yerevan Phys. Inst.) ; Petrosyan, A G (Yerevan Phys. Inst.) ; Aloyan, V (Yerevan Phys. Inst.)
Provided here are the results of calculations of tagging jet identification in the process of Higgs boson production via the mechanism of coalescence of vector bosons with subsequent decay into $\tau$-leptons (VBF $H \to \tau^{−} \tau^{+}$) for different transverse segmentations against the parts of modernized hadronic calorimeter of Compact Muonic Solenoid in the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The calculations were conducted under conditions of a great number (140) of additionally superposable $pp$-interactions corresponding to LHC operation mode at high luminosities..

Identification of tagging jets in VBF H$\to \tau^{−}\tau^{+}$ process with CMS experiment on Large Hadron Collider at large amount of additionally imposed $pp$-interactions / Sirunyan, A M (NAS Armenia, Yerevan) ; Tumasyan, A R (NAS Armenia, Yerevan) ; Khachatryan, V A (NAS Armenia, Yerevan) ; Petrosyan, A G (NAS Armenia, Yerevan)
The procedure of identification of tagging jets in the Higgs boson production process with a following decay of the Higgs boson to τ-leptons (VBF H→τ$^{−}$τ$^{+}$) at the endcup region of the upgraded CMS detector at large amount (140) of additionally imposed pp-interactions is given. The efficiency and purity of tagging jets selection at the CMS endcup region are estimated..
