Measurement of shower development and its Molière radius with a four-plane LumiCal test set-up / FCAL Collaboration
A prototype of a luminometer, designed for a future e+e- collider detector, and consisting at present of a four-plane module, was tested in the CERN PS accelerator T9 beam. The objective of this beam test was to demonstrate a multi-plane tungsten/silicon operation, to study the development of the electromagnetic shower and to compare it with MC simulations. [...]

Model-independent confirmation of the $Z(4430)^-$ state / LHCb collaboration
The decay $B^0\to \psi(2S) K^+\pi^-$ is analyzed using $\rm 3~fb^{-1}$ of $pp$ collision data collected with the LHCb detector. A model-independent description of the $\psi(2S) \pi$ mass spectrum is obtained, using as input the $K\pi$ mass spectrum and angular distribution derived directly from data, without requiring a theoretical description of resonance shapes or their interference. Performance of fully instrumented detector planes of the forward calorimeter of a Linear Collider detector / FCAL Collaboration
Detector-plane prototypes of the very forward calorimetry of a future detector at an $e^+e^-$ collider have been built and their performance was measured in an electron beam. The detector plane comprises silicon or GaAs pad sensors, dedicated front-end and ADC ASICs, and an FPGA for data concentration. [...]

ECFA Detector R&D Panel, Review Report / FCAL Collaboration
Two special calorimeters are foreseen for the instrumentation of the very forward region of an ILC or CLIC detector; a luminometer (LumiCal) designed to measure the rate of low angle Bhabha scattering events with a precision better than 10−3 at the ILC and 10−2 at CLIC, and a low polar-angle calorimeter (BeamCal). Angular analysis of the $B^0 \rightarrow K^{*0} e^+ e^-$ decay in the low-$q^2$ region / LHCb collaboration
An angular analysis of the $B^0 \rightarrow K^{*0} e^+ e^-$ decay is performed using a data sample, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 ${\mbox{fb}^{-1}}$, collected by the LHCb experiment in $pp$ collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV during 2011 and 2012. For the first time several observables are measured in the dielectron mass squared ($q^2$) interval between 0.002 and 1.120${\mathrm{\,Ge\kern -0.1em V^2\!/}c^4}$. [...]

Determination of the branching fractions of $B_{s}^{0} \to D_{s}^{\mp} K^{\pm}$ and $B^{0} \to D_{s}^{-} K^{+}$ / LHCb collaboration
Measurements are presented of the branching fractions of the decays $B_{s}^{0} \to D_{s}^{\mp} K^{\pm}$ and $B^{0} \to D_{s}^{-} K^{+}$ relative to the decays $B_{s}^{0} \to D_{s}^{-} \pi^{+}$ and $B^{0} \to D^{-} \pi^{+}$, respectively. The data used correspond to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb$^{-1}$ of proton-proton collisions. [...]

Study of the rare $B_s^0$ and $B^0$ decays into the $\pi^+\pi^-\mu^+\mu^-$ final state / LHCb collaboration
A search for the rare decays $B_s^0 \to \pi^+\pi^-\mu^+\mu^-$ and $B^0 \to \pi^+\pi^-\mu^+\mu^-$ is performed in a data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb$^{-1}$ collected by the LHCb detector in proton-proton collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV. Decay candidates with pion pairs that have invariant mass in the range 0.5-1.3 GeV/$c^2$ and with muon pairs that do not originate from a resonance are considered. [...]

Measurement of the inelastic $pp$ cross-section at a centre-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}=7$ TeV / LHCb Collaboration
The cross-section for inelastic proton-proton collisions, with at least one prompt long-lived charged particle of transverse momentum $p_{\rm T}>0.2$ GeV/$c$ in the pseudorapidity range $2.0<\eta<4.5$, is measured by the LHCb experiment at a centre-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}=7$ TeV. The cross-section in this kinematic range is determined to be $\sigma_{\rm inel}^{\rm acc} = 55.0 \pm 2.4$ mb within the spectrometer acceptance with an experimental uncertainty that is dominated by systematic contributions.
