Model dependence of the $\pi_1(1600)\to\rho(770)\pi$ signal / Krinner, Fabian (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) /COMPASS Collaboration
Using the large C OMPASS data set on diffractive three pion production, we investigate the contradictory observations reported by previous experiments on the existence of a resonance signal in the spin-exotic wave with spin, parity and charge conjugation quantum numbers 1−+ . We identify a strong dependence of the result on the employed analysis model as the cause and derive a model tuned to minimize these effects. [...]

Recent progress in the partial-wave analysis of the diffractively produced $\pi^-\pi^+\pi^-$ final state at COMPASS / Krinner, Fabian (Munich, Tech. U.) /COMPASS Collaboration
The COMPASS spectrometer at CERN has collected a large data set for diffractive three-pion production of $46\times10^6$ exclusive events. Based on previous conventional Partial-Wave Analyses (PWA), we performed a `freed-isobar PWA' on the same data, removing model assumptions on the dynamic isobar amplitudes for dominating waves. [...]

First results from an extended freed-isobar analysis at COMPASS / Krinner, Fabian Michael (Munich, Tech. U.) /COMPASS Collaboration
One of the goals of the COMPASS experiment is the precision study of light-meson spectroscopy with data for various final states. With $46\times10^6$ exclusive events, the process $\pi^- p\to\pi^-\pi^+\pi^- p$ constitutes the flagship channel. [...]

Light-Meson Spectroscopy at COMPASS / Krinner, Fabian (Munich, Tech. U.) /for the COMPASS collaboration
The goal of the COMPASS experiment at CERN is to study the structure and spectroscopy of hadrons. The two-stage spectrometer has large acceptance and covers a wide kinematic range for charged as well as neutral particles allowing to access a wide range of reactions. [...]

Extraction of the $\pi^+\pi^-$ Subsystem in Diffractively Produced $\pi^-\pi^+\pi^-$ at COMPASS / Krinner, Fabian (Munich, Tech. U.) /for the COMPASS collaboration
The COMPASS experiment at CERN has collected a large data sample of 50 million diffractively produced $\pi^-\pi^+\pi^-$ events using a $190\,$GeV$/c$ negatively charged hadron beam. The partial-wave analysis (PWA) of these high-precision data reveals previously unseen details. [...]

The $2\pi$ Subsystem in Diffractively Produced $\pi^-\pi^+\pi^-$ at COMPASS / Krinner, Fabian (Munich, Tech. U.) /for the COMPASS collaboration
The COMPASS experiment at CERN has collected a large dataset of $50$ million $\pi^-\pi^+\pi^-$ events produced diffractively from a proton target using a $190\,\mathrm{GeV}/c$ pion beam. The partial-wave analysis (PWA) of these high-precision data reveals previously unseen details but is limited in parts by systematic effects. [...]

Highlights from COMPASS in hadron spectroscopy / Krinner, Fabian (Munich, Tech. U.) /for the COMPASS collaboration
Since Quantum Choromdynamics allows for gluon self-coupling, quarks and gluons cannot be observed as free particles, but only their bound states, the hadrons. This so-called confinement phenomenon is responsible for $98\%$ of the mass in the visible universe. [...]

Hadron Physics at the COMPASS Experiment / Krinner, Fabian (Munich, Tech. U.) /for the COMPASS collaboration
Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD), the theory of strong interactions, in principle describes the interaction of quark and gluon fields. However, due to the self-coupling of the gluons, quarks and gluons are confined into hadrons and cannot exist as free particles. [...]

The inclusive decay b to ccs revisited / Krinner, Fabian (Munich, Tech. U.) ; Lenz, Alexander (CERN ; Durham U., IPPP) ; Rauh, Thomas (Munich, Tech. U.)
The inclusive decay rate b to ccs is enhanced considerably due to perturbative QCD corrections. We recalculate the dominant part of the NLO-QCD corrections, because they cannot be reconstructed from the literature and we give the full expressions in this paper. [...]
