Broadband Multi-wavelength Properties of M87 during the 2018 EHT Campaign including a Very High Energy Flaring Episode / Event Horizon Telescope Multi-wavelength Science Collaboration
The nearby elliptical galaxy M87 contains one of the only two supermassive black holes whose emission surrounding the event horizon has been imaged by the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT). [...]

LHC interaction region quadrupole cryostat production, alignment, and performance summary / Nicol, T H ; Di Marco, J ; Kerby, J S ; Page, Thomas M ; Peterson, Thomas J ; Rabehl, Roger Jon
The cryostat of a Large Hadron Collider (LHC) Interaction Region (IR) quadrupole magnet consists of all components of the inner triplet except the magnet assembly itself. It serves to support the magnet accurately and reliably within the vacuum vessel, to provide all required cryogenic piping, and to insulate the cold mass from heat radiated and conducted from the environment. Production status of the LHC inner triplet magnet system / Kerby, J S
The inner triplet magnet systems for the LHC provide the final focus of the two proton beams immediately before collision at the four interaction points in the machine. At both the high and low luminosity interaction regions, the quadrupole magnets composing the Q1 through Q3 optical elements are capable of operation at 215 T/m when cooled to 1.9 K, and subjected at the high luminosity interaction points to significant beam heating. Splice testing for LHC quadrupole magnets / Barzi, E ; Bossert, R ; Fehér, S ; Kashikhin, V V ; Kerby, J S ; Lamm, M J ; Orris, D ; Ray, G ; Tartaglia, M ; Zlobin, A V
Electrical splices between NbTi Rutherford type cables need to be made for the LHC IR inner triplet quadrupoles. Splices between magnets as well as internal to the magnets are necessary. [...]
