ATLAS Irradiation Studies of n-in-n and p-in-n Silicon Microstrip Detectors. / Allport, P P ; Andricek, L ; Buttar, C M ; Carter, J ; Drage, L ; Ferrère, D ; Morgan, D ; Riedler, P ; Robinson, D
Prior to the module production of the ATLAS silicon microstrip tracker for the barreland the forward wheels, the characterisation of full size prototype silicon detecetorsafter radiation to a fluences corresponding to 10 years of ATLAS operation is required. The measurements of leakage current, full depletion voltage, signal-to-noise ratio and charge collection efficiency are presented..

Measuring Supersymmetric Particle Masses at the LHC in Scenarios with Baryon-Number R-Parity Violating Couplings / Allanach, B.C. (CERN) ; Barr, A.J. (Cambridge U.) ; Drage, L. (Cambridge U.) ; Lester, C.G. (Cambridge U.) ; Morgan, D. (Cambridge U.) ; Parker, Michael Andrew (Cambridge U.) ; Webber, B.R. (Cambridge U.) ; Richardson, P. (Cambridge U., DAMTP ; Cambridge U.)
The measurement of sparticle masses in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model at the LHC is analysed, in the scenario where the lightest neutralino decays into three quarks. [...]

A comparison of the performance of irradiated p-in-n and n-in-n silicon microstrip detectors read out with fast binary electronics / Allport, P P ; Andricek, L ; Buttar, C M ; Carter, J R ; Costa, M ; Drage, L M ; Dubbs, T ; Goodrick, M J ; Greenall, A ; Hill, J C et al.
Both n-strip on n-bulk and p-strip on n-bulk silicon microstrip detectors have been irradiated at the CERN PS to a fluence of 3*10 /sup 14/ p cm/sup -2/ and their post-irradiation performance compared using fast binary readout electronics. Results are presented for test beam measurements of the efficiency and resolution as a function of bias voltage made at the CERN SPS, and for noise measurements giving detector strip quality. [...]

Recent results from the ATLAS SCT irradiation programme / Buttar, C M ; Allport, P P ; Carter, J R ; Casse, G L ; Costa, M ; Dawson, I ; Drage, L M ; Greenall, A ; Grigson, C ; Harper, R S et al.
The irradiation facility at the CERN proton synchrotron, set up to irradiate full-size prototypes of silicon microstrip detectors for the ATLAS semiconductor tracker, is described and measurements of the detector currents during irradiation are reported. The detector dark currents can be described by bulk radiation damage models demonstrating the radiation hardness of the detector design and allowing the current damage factor alpha and the acceptor introduction term p to be determined. ATLAS irradiation studies of n-in-n and p-in-n silicon microstrip detectors / Allport, P P ; Andricek, L ; Buttar, C M ; Carter, J ; Drage, L M ; Ferrère, D ; Morgan, D ; Riedler, P ; Robinson, D
Prior to the module production of the ATLAS silicon microstrip tracker for the barrel and the forward wheels, the characterisation of full-size prototype silicon detectors after radiation to fluences corresponding to 10 years of ATLAS operation is required. The behaviour of p-in-n and n-in-n detectors produced by several manufacturers before and after irradiation to a fluence of 3*10/sup 14/ protons/cm/sup 2/ at the CERN PS facility is discussed. [...]
