The Magnet of the Scattering and Neutrino Detector for the SHiP experiment at CERN / SHiP Collaboration
The Search for Hidden Particles (SHiP) experiment proposal at CERN demands a dedicated dipole magnet for its scattering and neutrino detector. This requires a very large volume to be uniformly magnetized at B > 1.2 T, with constraints regarding the inner instrumented volume as well as the external region, where no massive structures are allowed and only an extremely low stray field is admitted. [...]

Fast simulation of muons produced at the SHiP experiment using Generative Adversarial Networks / SHiP Collaboration
This paper presents a fast approach to simulating muons produced in interactions of the SPS proton beams with the target of the SHiP experiment. The SHiP experiment will be able to search for new long-lived particles produced in a 400~GeV$/c$ SPS proton beam dump and which travel distances between fifty metres and tens of kilometers. [...]

Application of SiPM arrays for the readout of a scintillator based time-of-flight detector / Korzenev, Alexander (Geneva U.) ; Betancourt, C (Zurich U.) ; Blondel, A (Geneva U.) ; Brundler, R (Zurich U.) ; Dätwyler, A (Zurich U.) ; Favre, Y (Geneva U.) ; Gascon, D (ICC, Barcelona U.) ; Gomez, S (ICC, Barcelona U.) ; Mermod, P (Geneva U.) ; Noah, E (Geneva U.) et al.
A feasibility study of replacing a conventional phototube with an array of SiPMs is presented. High gain, low voltage operation and insensitivity to the magnetic field make SiPMs practically useful for the light collection in a physics experiment. [...]

Sensitivity of the SHiP experiment to Heavy Neutral Leptons / SHiP Collaboration
Heavy Neutral Leptons (HNLs) are hypothetical particles predicted by many extensions of the Standard Model. These particles can, among other things, explain the origin of neutrino masses, generate the observed matter-antimatter asymmetry in the Universe and provide a dark matter candidate. [...]

The experimental facility for the Search for Hidden Particles at the CERN SPS / SHiP Collaboration
The Search for Hidden Particles (SHiP) Collaboration has shown that the CERN SPS accelerator with its 400 $\mathrm{\small GeV/c}$ proton beam offers a unique opportunity to explore the Hidden Sector. The proposed experiment is an intensity frontier experiment which is capable of searching for hidden particles through both visible decays and through scattering signatures from recoil of electrons or nuclei. Application of large area SiPMs for the readout of a plastic scintillator based timing detector / Betancourt, C. (Zurich U.) ; Blondel, A. (Geneva U.) ; Brundler, R. (Zurich U.) ; Dätwyler, A. (Zurich U.) ; Favre, Y. (Geneva U.) ; Gascon, D. (ICC, Barcelona U.) ; Gomez, S. (ICC, Barcelona U.) ; Korzenev, Alexander (Geneva U.) ; Mermod, P. (Geneva U.) ; Noah, E. (Geneva U.) et al.
In this study an array of eight 6 mm x 6 mm area SiPMs was coupled to the end of a long plastic scintillator counter which was exposed to a 2.5 GeV/c muon beam at the CERN PS. Timing characteristics of bars with dimensions 150 cm x 6 cm x 1 cm and 120 cm x 11 cm x 2.5 cm have been studied. [...]

Measurement of associated charm production induced by 400 GeV/c protons / SHiP Collaboration
An important input for the interpretation of the measurements of the SHiP ex- periment is a good knowledge of the differential charm production cross section, including cascade production. [...]

Signal coupling to embedded pitch adapters in silicon sensors / Artuso, Marina (Syracuse University (US)) ; Betancourt, Christopher (Universitaet Zuerich (CH)) ; Bezshyiko, Iaroslava (Universitaet Zuerich (CH)) ; Blusk, Steven R. (Syracuse University (US)) ; Brundler Denzer, Ruth (Universitaet Zuerich (CH)) ; Bugiel, Szymon (AGH University of Science and Technology (PL)) ; Dasgupta, Roma (AGH University of Science and Technology (PL)) ; Dendek, Adam Mateusz (AGH University of Science and Technology (PL)) ; Dey, Biplab (Central China Normal University CCNU (CN)) ; Ely, Scott Edward (Syracuse University (US)) et al.
We have examined the effects of embedded pitch adapters on signal formation in n-substrate silicon microstrip sensors with data from beam tests and simulation. According to simulation, the presence of the pitch adapter metal layer changes the electric field inside the sensor, resulting in slowed signal formation on the nearby strips and a pick-up effect on the pitch adapter. (Warwick U.) et al. /SHiP
The SHiP experiment is designed to search for very weakly interacting particles beyond the Standard Model which are produced in a 400 GeV/c proton beam dump at the CERN SPS. An essential task for the experiment is to keep the Standard Model background level to less than 0.1 event after $2\times 10^{20}$ protons on target. [...]
